Greetings,

I'm using SubGuru's "Ambush" Map and the problem I'm having is once departed from the starting point, that after a short while, the 688i's waypoint navigation goes haywire when trying to get clear from beneath the ice. She even loses depth and consequently crashes into the ice.

Anyone had that problem also and what's the cure for it.

I am not familiar with that map, but did you try HF sonar to stay free of the ice?

Yes, I use HF as well and am well clear from the surface ice, it's just that the waypoint nav system goes haywire whilst in restricted depth.
