You can sample my mod "Kriegsmarine U-Boat Records".

This mod is located on page 24 of "Venatore's Drive Through" thread. This mod contains 40 x records, allowing your U-Boat officers/sailors approximately 1 hour 46 minutes of morale time. It features all the very best records and many from the movie "Das Boot".

There used to be hundreds of tracks on U-Boot.RealSimulation.com, at one time, but I've found nothing, but dead links or corrupted files, in the Gramophone section, for several months

I downloaded some German music collections, from the site, last year and am happy to put them on FileFront, for others to enjoy, on their patrols. I've no idea who, originally compiled/uploaded the collections - If the site's owner, Terrapin, or anyone else objects to me offering them, I'll take them down, at once.:yep:

Be warned, if you're on dialup, the files are quite large - Upto 57MB.

One bit of wartime musical trivia (which I didn't know until recently), is that one of Hitler's favourite singers, Johannes Heesters, is stiil performing on stage & TV, at the age of 103.

Lord Haw Haw broadcasts, as promised -

http://files.filefront.com/SH3+Lord+Haw+Haw7z/;9127046;/fileinfo.html

They often refer to historical events, so I use them with SH3 Commander's date folder.

My mother says she listened to him, during the war, and agrees he was generally seen as a ridiculous character, who boosted British morale, rather than breaking it.

Not true of all Nazi propaganda, however. Anybody heard of Axis Sally, whose broadcasts were intended for the Americans - not so funny. She well deserved her long prison sentence, I think.:yep:

Oh! and BTW....Lord Haw Haw (William Joyce) was hanged by the British in 1946 for treason :yep:

Yes, jimbuna - His hanging was controversial, as he was Irish-American not British. The rights & wrongs of his fate are still discussed, to this day, as in this BBC article

This is getting a bit off-topic.:hmm: Time for a little light music, I think - Christina Aguilera, where are you?
