Basically my Type7 subs lose there radio man and hydrophone man when its installed,they are at there station on the crew sheet but if you click on the headphone icon they are missing and if you try to send a message or ask for a phone sweep you get nothing:hmm: strange thing is this problem dosen't affect the type9's which is only a single mod install,the type7's have a dual install,openhatch 1.01 and then peri-correct or peri-stock,oh and once when it happened there was a black void not a nice detailed open hatchway:o any help with this would be greatly appreciated.thank you:up:

I don't recall exactly (allthough I have it installed too), but didn't this mod come with the advice NOT to install in mid-patrol?
When did you install it? During a patrol, or back in base?

Always installed back at base:yep: learn't my lesson early on with that one,worked perfectly before,the only thing changed has been to add ships to my roster:hmm: just doesn't make sense

You have any depthcharge-shake, or longer-wake-trails mods installed?

Yes I have depth charge shake installed,does that conflict with the open hatch mod:hmm:

Whell I also have the depthcharge-shake and longer-wake-trails mods installed
and the open hatch works fine, nithing like that happends to me...
So I sugest you uninstall the mod (Hopen Hatch) then if using SH3Com. roll it back
then install again and the periscope correct position patch over it , all this in base as you allways do !

If it doens't work you may have another mod that conflicts with that one!

But I think it will work!:yep: :up:

Thank you for your help chaps,the problem is it worked perfectly fine before with depth charge shake and the only things I've installed recently since this problem occured are ships:nope: I also did as exactly as you advised JCW,but still no joy:damn: What I cant understand is that it only affects the type7 class of u-boat,not the type9:hmm:

I've just had a thought,is it possible that the mod that is conflicting is the Flakmonkey's twisty periscope rods,thats the only thing that type7's use that hasn't been modded for type9's yet,just a thought:hmm:

I have the twisty thing installed and the open hatch on a VIIB and I have no problems. So I don't think it's the twisty thing conflicting with the open hatch.

we use the mod at the steel sharks with the mod i made and iv found that if you'r using the commanders mod that after 3 are 4 saves you lose you'r hydrophone it's stuck at 12o'clock and you cant use it so think it is conflicting with the commander mod so ill do some more testing and let you no :hmm:

Moin Nikbear,

make sure you have installed TypeVII_OH_V1.01 and the TypeVII_OH_Peri on top of it. IIRC the mentioned problem occured with an earlier version only. If you already have V1.01 installed I suggest to disable and re-enable OpenHatch. If this does not help Iīd need a screenie of your JSGME mod list.

Thanks for everyone's help,Moin DD,I have re-downloaded V1.01 and Peri_Stock and will try enabling again,Am I correct that its best to leave them last on the list in my enabled mods folder:hmm:

It's just that the DC-shake - combined with OH - didn't work on my game...that's why I asked.

Btw, I dropped DC-shake in favour of OH. :)

I had the same problem. But after i downloaded u-boat mod 1.1 http://www.freepowerboards.com/jcwolf/jcwolf-about70.html the problem was gone. Seems like u-boat mod has open hatch included but i had to delite submarine folder othervise the game crashed before i got in the main menu.

Try running the OH-mod with VSync ON or OFF (which option to pick, depends on which is currently activated in your video-driver settings)...maybe it's a graphics-issue, instead of something in your game-files.

NSS_UBoat7_RR.dat must be 0KB or deleted. Regarding the commands, as Paajtor said, it depends on the camera mode you use. In "Free Cam - Mode" (SHIFT+F2) itīs not possible to pick any object or crew member. You have to use the common keys to go to the radio room to be able to command your crew in position. IIRC itīs F9.

Just looked at my NSS_UBOAT7_RR.dat and it says 23,002KB,how did it get like that if its supposed to be 0kb:nope: and how do I get rid of it,is it that,thats causing the problem:hmm: Yeah, thatīs the cause of the problem. If you install OpenHatch_V1.01, the respective file will be replaced by a 0KB version. But it will be fine, if you just delete the NSS_Uboat7_RR.dat. Donīt forget to make a savefty copy first.
