I made this small mod due to some questions regarding Maru names in the recognition manual.
I really hope WernerSobe and Tater will finish their Oni Manual someday.. That will kick my mod ass :p

SHIV New recognition manual names by FooFighters update version 2.

This mod changes all ship names.
All naval ships have "class" added to their name (Akizuki destroyer -> Akizuki class destroyer)
All merchants are now called Maru.

The only downside to the "Maru" names is that 2 ships are used for all countries.
It's possible to find an US ship with the name Taihosan or Kasigan Maru.
For now it's not possible to change.

Instal ready for JSGME
or manual Instalation by putting all files in the correct directories.

Great job FF :up: Before Manual Targetting I never used the RM much, this is a nice addition.

I just uploaded a small update, I forgot the troop transport.
It's now called Tatsuta Maru.

Please wait 20 minutes, just found some boats which I called Maru which are never used as Japanese Merchants in the SH4. I can recall them to the US Name.

There are only 2 merchants which are used by all SH4 nations.
Taihosan and Kasigan Maru.
After I fixed it, these are the only 2 non axis ships then can be called Maru.

Update version 2 is available

In the roster folder you can name ship's and plane's what ever you want. For example this is what I did for the Jap plane's.

So when they show up in game this is what I see on the map

So why not do the same thing with the US and French and British ships change the name's to show up in game how you want them to? As you can see I added a lot of plane's from the old SHIII game that were ported both by myself and another guy that did the US plane's.

After I finish up the star shell work for the sub's.

I will see how you can go about giving each country's ship's a name of their own I know it is all in the Roster file just got to see how to set it up.
