not long into sh3 plus gwx....its excellent as expected, but have posted a few threads on tweaking a couple o things, like the undersea darkness and crew voices etc......but ive also noticed sh3 commander mentioned...
what does this envole...installing wise, and what more will it bring to the game
im not sure i want to change what ive got too much. i love the new look of gwx.and the way its playing ...will commander change mutch of that or only enhance it? and will my pc handle it? = 2.6 processor, 128mb graphics and 512 ram:hmm:

I agree 100% with Siara.......SH3Commander is "IMHO" a must......an it is so easy to use.......The readme is extremely well done.

Also, it fixes the better depth of the VIIc/41 compared to the VIIc, and uses a variable (you don't know what) thermal layer to simulate ASDIC technological advances from '39 to '45. Is is variable but gets deeper all the time as the years go by, so you never know it you are found or not. Not only is this historically accurate, it also turns up the tension several notches.

SH3 Commander installs directly to your desktop, and does not affect or change anything unless you ask it to. It is a tool, not a mod, and it lets you change little things in the game like deck gun rate of fire and wave height, among a lot of others. It also adds a history for your captain and a huge amount of possible crew names, as well as giving a name to every ship you sink. It also lets you start a career in any month of the war, and once you select a flotilla it gives you a choice of u-boats that were actually based there at that time. It randomizes the number of days you spend in base between patrols, and if you resupply from a milk cow it changes the days in base to '1'.

It's very easy to use, works perfectly well with GWX and is, in my opinion, the single most important tool for use with the game. And as for what it does, just read this:

SH3 Commander IS A MUST HAVE IMO :rock:

You would normally install it to:

C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander

....and activate it via a desktop icon :up:

p.s will i have to abandon my current career with commander??? im 8 patrols in..also will all my added mods stil work???.....man i ask a lot o questions...any crew would throw me overboard!!!:up:

No, you won't have to abandon your career. Just enable it between patrols, while in port, and you'll be fine.

You can leave your mods installed...just ensure your in port and (this is just me being ultra cautious....because of all the installs and extras I'm currently testing) I'd start a new career :up:
