Hello, Kauleuns

I have been reading this site for many years without doing any posting or threads. :D
Thanks for the forum and the people with their mods.
Great work

Ok, my first Mod for SH3:

Pacos Struwwelpeter SubEmblems - V1.0 - oct 2007

Adds 4 new emblems to "SilentHunterIII\data\Emblems\SubEmblems.
The emblems show the Struwwelpeter in 4 variations. See Screenshot below with one Emblem.

Struwwelpeter
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Der Struwwelpeter (1845) is a popular German children's book by Heinrich Hoffmann. It comprises ten illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly about children. Each has a clear moral that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in an exaggerated way. The title of the first story provides the title of the whole book. Literally translated, Struwwel-Peter means Shaggy-Peter. [more (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Struwwelpeter)]

That's awesome, thanks!

My grandpa (he's german) used to read me some when I was little, freaked the jeebs out of me! I think it's something a U-boat crew might realistically used as an emblem!

I have an old book and a pack of cards with Struwwelpeter from my grandma. :|\\

I think, there was always a "Hans guck in die Luft" / "Hans watching the sky" on the boats...

Thanks for Your comments :yep:

You're welcome, it's well-deserved! :D

There was a couple boats with german folklore-themed emblems. One is the "Holzauge/sei Wach!" (Wooden Eye/Stay alert!) from U-558, from an old folktale about a cuckholded minister with a wooden eye! I think it was in Jester's emblem pack.
