View Full Version : Modding tutorials
Hey there
I've collected some of the modding tutorials on subsim, combined them into one topic, made downloadable pdf's of them and posted the topics and the pdf links on the forum I put up.
Still have more stuff to look up and add to the 2 tutorials posted.
Would like some feedback on this. But please note, I don't have times to edit and combine all the posts as a single coherent document. What I did was combine posts with credit to the authors into one topic.
Am also collecting links for tools.

And take away so many questions being asked of us that slow's down some of the work we are doing. When I am done I have no problem answering anything but some of the questions get repeated way too many times as time goes by with new people wanting to dip their hand's in the work for their own game's.
Granted some of the problem is no one want's to use the search options and then read through the posts and discussions modder's had on here.
And take away so many questions being asked of us that slow's down some of the work we are doing.
Sorry about doing something that inadvertantly may speed up development and keep people from asking the same questions over and over. ;)

Hey Leo, I'm going to continue to collect scatterred tutorials and use the other forum to build them. Once they are assembeled as best as I can do, I'll move them over here since it's just copying bb code over.
Building them is a pain in the keester becaues I have to copy the tutorial from a readers perspective which does not give me the bb code. It captures the links (sort of), just not the tags. Tried using the view source option and copying that, but the end result was really messed up. Putting it in another forum when copying as a reader gives you blanks where the images are and no links, so they have to be copied into an html program which keeps the links. The the links have to be copied from there to the BB, have the tags added, then checked. There's usually more tweaking at that point. That's why I'm not assembling them here.
Have time cuz of waiting for the replacement MB, and most of the RFB testers are delayed for at least one week cuz of life.
(BTW, when LukeFF reappears, give him a hearty welcome, he's been in the Southern California fire area working with his national guard unit. Not the most fun work.)
