hello guys!
I am expiriencing same problems with mi PC monitor ,
the problem is rather anoying and I might have to by today a new one.
It seems now that mi monitor adds a kind of shadow bellow the text , and makes everithing out of focus, it looks like it's not focusing the text and images thought the images are less anoying in the text it makes almost impossible to reed it!
Any of you guys have any idea of what this could be...
i might have to by a new one, cause this is very bad to work with the graphics,
also when I start the game since I have a screen resolution for 1280 x 1024
it is allways adapting the image, and most of the times doesn't adapt to the correct resolution leaving part of the image off screen, to correct this I have to disconect it and conect again and then stays oK!
Any ideas on how to correct this will be apreciated...:yep:

Have you tried to reset your monitor settings to factory defaults?
Also check if there arent any devices generating magnetic field like hifi, speakers (other than pc speakers) and so on near your pc.
If the quarantee on your monitor is still valid then go to the shop and let them fix it;)
Hi Mr Wolf, if your monitor is at fault & it's a crt then it sounds like it could be a HT leak, often caused by moisture & dust mixing together to make mud!! lovely stuff but not near the eht (a few thousand volts DC)!!:hmm: if you'd like remove the monitor box to expose the circuit board (unplug first), very carefully using a vacuum cleaner & fine clean paint brush (about 1" wide) carefully go over the entire board & tube especially the eht transformer, that's the part that has a thick red wire coming from the top and caps to the top of the tube. Once all cleaned give it a test but be aware of high voltages, if there is a major improvement but still want to give a tweak, the eht has 2 pots (adjustments) at the rear, one is eht voltage (sub brightness, don't touch) the other is focus, using a long screw driver with small head you can give this a tweak, only a slight amount is needed so take care, I use a mirror in front of the monitor so that I can work from the rear of the set.:yep:
This is a common fault to CRT type monitors.
Good luck!
Is it a CRT or a flat screen LCD? How old is it. Over time both types will start to fade colours and you may also see things like this happening. Depending on your video card you should be able to run a diagnostic that takes you through a set of tests to help you adjust the monitor.
:hmm: You could of course just buy a new one if that's what you want:D
