Selflessness

Sacrifice

Dedication

Talent

These are a few words that come to my mind when i hear mention of the subsim modders we have in this fantastic community.

whatever your contribution great or small, i would like to thank you for all of your hard work and effort. You take good games and turn them into unforgettable and enduring masterpieces.

Players download your work by the hundreds and thousands to enhance their gaming experience and you all ask for nothing in return.

Your projects drag on, often interfering with your personal lives, keeping you up at all hours of the night, requiring unwaivering dedication as you tap into a talent many of us mere players wish we had.

I have had the privilage of working with some of you in the past - and for that glorious fleeting moment - as short lived as it was, i learned volumes about the quality of the modders we have here and the absolute hell and misery they often trudge through just to deliver a quality product to us all!

As your eyes strain against the burn of a monitor late at night while you try to smash a persistant bug... or your hands cramp from the constant interaction with your modding tools... as friendships strain; remember for a brief moment that all of us greatly appreciate your efforts! Whether you correct a simple texture problem... or create a total super-mod... the contribution is vital to the big picture!

though each player has his own play style... and his own favorite mods, i think we should take this time to not only show our appreciation to the modders we are blessed to have here... but also to realize that we are all here for the same purposes

- enjoy our games
- enjoy our comradeship
- learn from one another
- commemorate the legacy of the submariners!

so, with this post, I snap out a firm salute to our mod crew!

A drink to the brotherhood of the deep! :()1:

job well done... carry on!

Who needs sleep when you can sit and watch seacolours on your screen instead of sleeping, can you mod a sleeping cabin with me in it in some of your great subskins? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Everything GoildenRivet said.

I would not be as enthralled with this game were it not for the modders.

Tis an exceptional group of people doing exceptional work!! :yep:  :|\\

I doubt if I would be playing this game still without the efforts of the modders here. It would have been fun for a little while crusisng back and forth to the same place and blowing up everything in sight, racking up ginormous amounts of tonnage. But after the FPS quality wore off and I got to the point where I wanted to enjoy the challenges of being a sub skipper (and some of the amazing eye candy during the long trips across the Pacific) the game would have been found to be extrememly wanting in those departments. This game is what it is because of all y'all. So have a beer or two on me and tell them to put it on my tab:up:

i really appreciate what they have done for SH3 and SH4.

SH4 needed a lot of work right out of the box... and almost immediately the modders jumped in head first and got started.

I am now really enjoying SH4, a game that initially - in my opinion - was virtually unplayable! it didnt occupy space on my hard drive for more than a few days after release!

i knew that it would be great in time... but i still think it should have been great to begin with ... i just wish that the original dev team wasnt so rushed to get this title out the door.

another save by the modders.
