Hey , just did a clean reinstall and am in search of an OCEAN realism or texture mod . What do ya'll recommend ? What's the best one .

There are two options for you:
Rcerboys SH4 effects for SH3 1.06 (with improved wave textures by OneLifeCrisis)
or
SH4 scene for SH3 by Reece.
You can use both at the same time but Reece's mod is not 16km (i personally use "stock" GWX 16km with SH4/SH3 effects).

My wave textures can be downloaded and installed seperately if desired, and they'll work with any of the other ocean mods (I think there are many more than those listed above ;)).

Personally I think the stock/GWX1.03 environments look the most "realistic" and Reece's "SH4 Scene for SH3" mod (while not really realistic) looks the prettiest.

Note that GWX 1.04 will reportedly include new environmental changes including some new wave textures. If GWX graphical standards to date are anything to judge by, these should be very good indeed. :yep:
