need help with patch 1.3

hi i loaded silent hunter 4 with patch 1.3 and now the career loads but when the please wait sign shows up the game frezzes and says data/menu/gui/rec manual/covflagshoredefenses.dds cant be found never had this problem before can someone help i dont know how to solve this but the game worked fine before i patched it to 1.3 and it worked fine on 1.3 before as well with no problems

Did you delete the SH4 folder found in MY DOCUMENTS? Also, when you remove the entire game, there is still a SH4 folder hanging out that had the original install. Dump that also.

you have a corrupted game file so after un-installing the game and deleting the sh4 documents folder then do a fresh new install and then install patch 1.3

i got it to work thanks for everyone's help you guys always get me out of a jam thanks again keep up the good work with all the mods this game is getting better and better all the time
