he isn't around at the moment, but i believe his opinion regarding mod permission can betaken from the Trigger Maru 1 st post in the SH4 mod forum

- You otherwise don't need "permission" for anything. The Trigger Maru mod was compiled for the love of the game, and appreciation for the History behind the game. This mod is presented as a community works, for the bennfit of all. The compling author (Ducimus), takes no credit for any of the specific works cited. Any specfic design or modification by the compiling author, anyone is free to use as they see fit in any modification they desire, so long as it is not used in any commercial product of any size, shape, or form.

So i think it more than likely that an acknowledgment will suffice. Besides he left the SH3 scene some time ago.

Hi ... !

Wich version do i need to download ? I am user of a personalized version of WAC, wich uses a 10X full magnification periscope sight.

Is DIY the correct version ?

Thanks in advance !

if it has a 10x mag, then you should use the GWX 1.3.1 DIY version - that's probably the best bet, as that includes the AOB finder for 10x magnification.

However the obs scope tool is also slightly different, 4.5x instead of the stock 4x, but it's not a big deal and i find i rarely use the tool in the obs scope.

finally decided to give this a whirl.

been reading the docs that came with it, and starting to understand the sliderule.. but when i go in game to actually use it... only the inner most wheel spins.

im using GWX 2.1 and the OLCE2 and i installed the 1.31.GWX version of your mod.

You say you are using the OLCE2. Well that comes with a GUI that is most of the U-jagd bit.

hi gutted, i think probably you stumbled across the fact that the mouse often won't "capture" the outerwheel if you try and do it to the NE, SE, SW or NW of the sliderule - this is because of the square shaped alpha channel screen i used to make sure the outer wheel didn't interfere with the inner wheel. If you feel like tinkering with the workings you can adjust the dimensions of the alpha channel screen to make it less intrusive, or else just remember to try and grab the sliderule where it works

I've just got back into SH3 and found this really interesting mod. I've yet to try it but I've been reading the manual to understand all the things it can do...very impressive! One question, The AOB section mentions using high power on the attack scope. I assume this is the 6x that comes with the standard game? If I use GWX, do I need to add a multiplier to compensate for the 10x of the GWX attack scope? I see you need to do this for range but I can't see it mentioned for AOB but it seems to make sense that I would have to. Thanks

Hi Clacker

I'm glad you like the look of it! And reading the manual first??!! What kind of guy are you?:DL

Anyway, the GWX version wheels are already adjusted for the 10x, so you must download the correct version.

at my filefront account you'll see options for

normal
normal_DIY
GWX
GWX_DIYyou only use the DIY version if you have another GUI mod installed, such as Large slideout dials, or periscope TDC
otherwise just use the non-DIY GWX file

if you are interested in periscope TDC with your U-jagd tools, both Mikhayl and h.sie have relatively recently released combi-mods, that don't require extra work on your part

best wishes

joe

Ahh right! I'm using hsgui 2.1 so it'll be setup for the correct zoom!

Having a two year old makes it hard spending time in the game experimenting so I'm reading snippets (and trying to absorb it all) when I can....besides, if anyone can figure out that contraption without referencing your tutorial then hats off to them!

Thankyou very much for your quick reply. I'm hoping the fits of laughter I can hear from my targets through the hydrophone will will now stop with your mod to hand....

Hello JoeGrundman or Hitman,

do you have the U-Jagd-Chrono in Vectorgraphics-format? I ask because I have to scale it down a little bit to fit it into a existing tga.

Thanks,
h.sie

Hi h.sie

i'm sorry. i lost all the photoshop psd files when i had to reinstall windows after a serious crash about 8 months ago. I'm afraid that's it. But you know, it's not so very difficult to make this image with photoshop.

Okay. But thank you nevertheless.

My advice: Always an external HDD as data mirror ......

i think you can try the olc gui1.2.7,it is compatible with GWX3.0OLC's mod doesn't have that last disk shown on the first page, though. But the rest is the same. It also depends on if he is using GWX3 or older or just stock or some other mod. He should check the first page which version fits him best. Worst case he needs to do the DIY version.

hmm, my filefront link doesn't work anymore. And what's all this? the whole filefront thing has changed!

I'll have to upload these somewhere else

It seems i can't link to just my page now. I have to instead give links to each file:x

Thank you very much for your efforts creating this really usable mod!

But i got still problems with installing this.

I am using LSH 5 so i tried the DIY for stock. But there is no dials.cfg in the decompressed download of U-Jagd Tools.

So i tried this and that but the Vorhalt arm won't move. All other arms can be adjusted with the mouse, only vorhalt not.
Any ideas?

The installation guide in the documentation folder says it expects you want to build this Ujagd DIYmod on top of another mod (which you should make a copy of for this purpouse). I do not know if LSH 5 has a modified dials.cfg or menu1024.ini file, but if so, use those. If not, simply use the stock SH3 (or whatever supermod it is based on) dials.cfg and menu1024 files.

Hello!

Will not be used U-Jagd tools to SH5?

It seems that, once again, the U-jagd FileFront links have died.

Would anyone perhaps be kind enough to plonk the files to a Google Drive or something that won't suffer inactivity expiry?

Done. I don't know why I never put it here before, but now the original U-Jagd Tools mod is available here at Subsim Downloads.

The yellow range scale does not appear on the UZO, only on the attack periscope. Is this a historical fact or is it because of magnification difficulties?

This is from Olc Gui 1.27, and in Hitman Gui is also very well explained!
For the OLC i just remember that there was something specific, double the mast data!:Kaleun_Salute:
