View Full Version : To BDU Staff--Urgent
03 July 1941
To all BDU Staff officers Lorient.
Aaalaaaaarm!
Balz is expected in port tomorrow.
Urgent business requires my immediate departure for Berlin.
When U-53 arrives, present the blighter with a bottle Vieuve Clicot as appreciation and gratitude from the German Volk.
Inform him he's getting command of U-502 with all the extras he wants. Assure Balz the acustics in U-502 are excellent, the sub was built to suit his choir. Also impress on him he cannot sail the boat to New York and have a gig in Broadway.
As far as torpedoes go, let Balz know that the torpedoes not only go boom-boom but they kaboom in a most dramatic manner.
Good luck to all. Please let me know when U-502 leaves so I can be on hand to wave good bye to our hero.

Then Bookworm im going to ask Rommel if you say so.
If Balz were to sail into NY and hook up with the NY Met Opera, would that perhaps put all of the USA asleep for a while and then the rest of us could sneak in and perhaps steal all of their secrets to give us an edge?
I hear they are working on a newer, bigger, and better bomb...

The Germans used lot's of generals on the Eastern Front. You can ask Von Rundstedt for example. He was one of the main commanders in the beginning of that campaign.

Balz on the Eastern Front? That would be the day! While cleaning ashtrays at BDU, I overheard the personnel officer say Balz is too well connected. Also that the Fuhrer likes him.

Rommel was twice on the Eastern Front. At first shortly in Rumania during WWI then later he commanded the fuhrer begeleitung gruppe in Poland '39. From there into France, Africa and France again.
Strictly speaking he was there, but no he wasnt on the 'Estern Front' in the way we know it.
Great tactician btw.

Balz is Spoiled by the Fuhrer too much Brag. :shifty: Give us sometime to spend with him like having a drink or playing on his Xbox 360. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Balz walks into the bar. "Hallo everyone, if you don't remember me, you're forgiven. You wouldn't expect such a grand person as myself to be found in a place like this." He tosses his cap on the bar counter. "A bottle of Vieuve Clicot. Charge it to Dowley."
After downing two glasses of champagne, Balz says, "Who want's to finish this chapagne?" He Slides the bottle toward Papa Schmurf.
"Barman, bring a bottle of Remi Martin, charge it to Steed." Balz sits at a table and fills his snifter to the brim. "Hey NclDoe, you want to enjoy the greatness of my exploits? And my Hoochie woochie songs? For your information I'm Balz El Magnifico and I'm honoring you with my presence. Order another bottle of cognac so that you can properly appreciate the great honor I'm bestowing upon you."

Have heard of Balz's triumphant return, and are heading back to port at high speed regardless of the crews safety. Please inform Balz that I have on-board 25 cases of schnaps I 'rescued' from a sinking British merchant ship.

RE: First Officer Needed
Request immediate replacement for First Officer. Present First Officer, upon hearing that Balz was returning, promptly got strange look in his eyes, went up to the Bridge, pulled his Luger, and shot himself in the head.

Balz can have strange effects on some people......
It's 3 AM. Balz sits on a case of Papa Smurf's schnaps and sips out of a bottle. From time to time, he murmurs, "Wasserbomben, boom-boom."
"Those Tommies have rythm. Wasserbomben, boom-boom. Hah, now I have bigger boat. Tommy is in big trouble! Wasserbomben, boom-boom."
He staggers to his feet and dances with the bottle, singing the mournful tango Uno,which is the rage in Buenos Aires.

Looks like I'll be having to get more schnaps for Balz sooner than I thought
