Hi all, I know my PC is a little old:
Asus A8V Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ overclocked from 200x11mhz to 215x11mhz to run at 2.365ghz.
2gig DDR400 ram
HIS ATI Radeon X1950 turbo Doing the tests run well (6144) but what is slowing it down is the CPU, with only bare minimum of services running I get 0 fps on either of the 2 CPU tests, results were actually 0.8fps WOW!! I knew it would be bad but not this bad! Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Can this be improved without a new motherboard?
Thanks.

If you want a higher cpu score either increase the overclock or get a more powerful cpu, but since you are on a s939 platform like me you would be better off with geting a new motherboard, ram and processor instead of upgrading the processor alone.

I had the same motherboard in Aquarius (my old gaming rig)...I liked it a lot for an AGP board. My brother's using it now.

Those CPU results are not unusual, and in fact, Shadowhawk got similar rates (even though its clocked higher and is a dual-core CPU). I wouldn't be worried about those numbers at all. Keep in mind that there is a lot of stuff going on in those demoes that is being completely loaded on the CPU: the timing of events, graphics, physics, etc.

Thing is in this review (page 7):
http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&number=7&artpage=2413&articID=553
the review processor was an AMD Athlon 64 3200 with exactly same video card and only 1gig ram with Asus motherboard, their score was 8614 compared to my 6144?:88)
I tried to overclock GPU using Tray tools and although I can change the settings as soon as I apply it changes back to default, don't know why, but then it is a turbo board & overclocking is probably not a good idea!:yep:
I would not be able to upgrade for atleast 12 months that's why I'm trying to get this rig running better.
