To all you people out there who are knee deep in enhancing SH3/GWX within the boundaries of GWX1.03, may I thank each and everyone of you for all the work you do to make the game even more "immerseable". I have made a small donation to SubSim, the least I can do, however I have 1x512MB and 3x1GB Memory Modules that any one may have....first come, first served. I will post World Wide, with pleasure......Dusty

Sorry mate, I honestly didn't mean to derail your thread.

To all, DustyBoats has made a very generous offer here to those who may need it.

Lets stay on target to assist him please.

If you have a question or comment about GWX please place it on the GWX stick thread or other relevant thread.

Thanks

and repeat the word of our thread starter:
THANK YOU, GWX Modders, and all others who made this possible!

@Kpt.Lehmann: How unfair to put this terrible teaser into a small, unshinny thread like this

Dusty : you echo the thought of many here on this forum about the GWX team:yep: They deserve all the praise they get!

Kpt.Lehmann : If your going to give sneek peaks start a new thread, then all will know that you have put up something new!;)

Rowis drydocks, 5 dry & 5 flooded, 2 of them empty, tried to sail through it, and yes, those can be sunk!
The screens are not a GWX1.04 preview, I have the drydocks from German ubi forum, though the links there don't work anymore. Don't know if GWX1.04 are Rowis mod too, but these work fine too!
Send a kind thought to Rowi for these, don't know if he's around on this forum too, but I would like to say thanks to him for these!

Do you get a double credit if there is a ship in the dock at the time? Double renown for the price of a single torpedo!:D

You people need to read the second half of the first post again. There is likely someone here that is interested in Dustyboat's kind offer. Money doesn't grow on trees for many of us here. I simply posted a screenshot as a return gesture.

(...and it had nothing to do with the docks that Rowi gave us permission to use.)

Forget about the docks.

Dustyboats, it was not my intention to derail your thread or turn it into a GWX stampede.

I don't take things, without paying back something in return, that’s the way I live my life & it is what my father taught me. Too many take, take & take, & very rarely give. I don't know why you would do something like this, and it’s not my place to ask.

I am however very pleased that you donated to Subsim, as I have myself. This is a worthwhile cause.

I thankyou for your generosity, I remember a long time ago I had dial up (very slow) & I was unable to download GWX when it first came out, Reece, without hesitation posted me a CD with GWX on it, people like him, is what’s keeps me logging onto Subsim everyday, I enjoy his company, like many other members in this forum, I don't have many mates in my life (JCWolf understands why) but here I feel right at home (even if it is through a forum).

Thankyou for your kind nature/intent.

I understand your opening remarks very well. I have led such a wonderful and full life , that what I can do in my now rather ristricted existance, is also a thank you for that life in appreceation of the talent and skill of others. Such people, which includes yourself, keep this crazy world turning for a great number of us as I too read through the Forums.

I note your 20 yrs in the Royal Navy. What did you do if you don't mind me asking, as for me in Mar 08, it will be my 20th yr in the Australian Army (Infantry), a Infantry soldier loving U-Boats I'm like a fish out of water (flip flop) :rotfl:

Hi there! I actually had 25yrs in the RN, but the 20yrs that are shown are my years in Submarines. I was a Chief Radio Electrician in those days, having joined in 1950, leaving in 1975. On Boats we were responsible for keeping Radar, Sonar and W/T going, and an assortment of other duties....part of the Attack Team, Control Room Watch keeping on the surface, After Planes when Dived in cruise watches, stuff like that. Towards the end of my time I specialised in EW equipments, hitching rides on "Nukes" to sneaky places. As a matter of interest to you I took your guys who were on the "Oberon Clas Boats" you bought from us for their EW training.....Later I was at "Penguin" in Sydney for a while whilst in the Far East on "Onslaught...S14" (now razor blades!!). Good to know you're in the "Ozzy Army"...great bunch of blokes to know in my day. They gave me a "wicked" time at some "Ozzy Football Club" which all I really remember was full of fruit machines in the lounge.....I was "hung over" for days!!!!

I can tell you something right away!

It is not everyday that we can see an action like this,
I can can dare to say, that I never saw it here at SS!

I was created in a world that isn't perfect, and based on that
and my grandfather teachings I created a base that I use on
everyday Life...

Usually you get use to the idea that when someone gives you
something it's cause he wants something in returne, and almost
everyday you see the proof of that!

It's almost impossible to bellieve that a gesture like your's it's
" Taxe Free" !

But whenthis happends you see why people are so diferent!

That should be record as the most first unique gesture of
simple sharing and good harte minded person that you are!

Thanks for giving me another reazon to continuing modding
free stuff!
