Hi there captains!
I started a brand new career, using Trigger maru 1.62, reflections on water, and other mods really cool.
Then i started working on tweaking the sim.cfg file to reach the right difficulty i want in my game.
I'm talking mainly about the visual ai, because it's the one you can easly judge yourself (while the hydrophone or sonar ai it's obviously more obscure to judge, cant say myself "here the game it's too difficult, here is too easy (compared to simulating real things)..." never used an hydrophone myself. I can just talk about it in terms of playbility... if i cant escape a DD for 4 hours just doing the right things, i start to think it's just too difficult and less playable).
While as regard visual i can say that i'm not finding the right values. I'm here to ask your opinions about the subject.
With 200 "surface", 3.0 wave, 4.0 light, 0.09 sensibility, 0.5 time a merchant ship spot me in pitch black at more than 1 NM away at periscope depth just with the periscope up (no waves though), without the use of any sort of lighting. I think it's a bit incredible. I say it spots me cause it starts to change course zigzagging.
And the values are lower than the trigger maru 1.62 itself.
Just wanted to know what do you think of it, and maybe the values-mod you're using.
thanks to you all captains!!
