I'm pretty sure I've not seen it if they have. A real, 1/2 degree sun and moon. I'd like to see what files need to be mucked around with. I lack the skills I think.

I thought Beery did something with this in RFB, or at least it was included with it.

You may want to take a look at these smaller, more 'realistic' moon files:

I don't know where I got them, may have been from an SH3 mod long ago. They seem to work fine with the new environment mod.

Cool, I'll try that. Those look to be about 1/2 the size of the stock ones. The moon in game is way more tha 2X too big.

That might be the easy way to go. I tried it, it's much better, but still way too big.

I can't find a sun dds, is it hiding someplace?

Duh, mav's real navigation mod:

I had been looking at his camera mod.

Check the RFB if you have it, I think it was there from the first or second version.

tater, I don't think there is a sun.dds... Looks to me like the effect is purely shader driven... /Shaders/Sky/SkyPS.fs andSkyVS.fx

I looked at the moon.dds and moon_hallo.dds files, wouldn't be hard to scale the existing RGB and Alpha layers then re-create the file in both the low-res and high-res versions....

cc. Odd, my stock doesn't have a sun_b file...

Tater...

Why don't you try modifieying the sun and moon radius in the Scene.dat file using Mini Tweaker.

Listed under SkyObjRadius...there's a value for sun, moon and stars.

Cheers!
