My apologies to Vortex readers. With the rude intrusion of a publisher who has made me divert time from this forum, by making me work on a book that will be released in June 2008. This, and a bit of GWX  have prevented me from posting new Vortex episodes.

Kingmaker is an espionage thriller and here's the cover art. :D

Shameless self advertising :nope: :D

Still the cover looks promising. Diamonds, blood and I'm assuming U-Boats. If the main character turns out to be called Balz I'll cry though. If it ever appears in my local bookshop I'll buy it

Definetely shameless.
Actually, this one does not include U-boats. Here's the blurb:

Powerful transnational commercial interests manipulate the War on Terror and news media. Cynical former CIA operative John Trager’s search for the truth leads him to Africa and the mysterious anthropologist Simone Loriot. Her passionate quest to save her adopted Central African country from looters of natural resources, draw Trager into a violent whirlwind of mercenaries, tribal rivalries and a traitor in The White House. Facing disaster, Trager finds his true self and reason for self-sacrifice.

My next book will be The Gelwitz Cipher, which includes the voyage of a U-Boat after the war has ended .

Visit my Braguine website for first chapters of other novels.

Jeepers, Brag! So you finally admit you're a writer! I can dig it -- sometimes it's better to operate covertly.

I like your site; good advice to wannabes there. I used to have a bottom-feeder Hollywood agent who charged an annual fee -- what a waste! I'm done with Hollywood in general; next time they'll have to come to me, I ain't chasing after them.

Mach's gut, dude!

Yeah, if anyone asks for money from a writer it's a scam!

Not so unusual, as they use the cover art to advertize upcoming releases. You can check them out at:
