Problems with sound in GWX

hi there. after many month of not playing sh3, i thought id give it a go again, esp since i havnt tried gwx 1.3 yet, and that a 1.4 seems around the corner.
i did a fresh install etc, and everything seems to work as intended. exepct for many sounds. they are just missing. my whol crew talk dosnt work, also it seems that all sounds who are labeled with PXX_ arent working at all.
any ideas?

Under options check that voice and the other sound options are set to 0db.

it is set to 0db. doesnt help.

Do you use SH3commander ?
Have you altered the TC settings if you are using it ?

German is the preferred language for GWX

yes im using sh3 commander with altered tc options. im using the engl install, with german voicees. its not only the voices who are missing, but also many battlesounds, like dc explosions, gun sounds etc etc. basicly all battle related sounds are "muted".
im using a sb x-fi gamer edition, and i have no probs with my sound in any other game.

Reset the TC that you changed
The SH3commander readme states

Q: Since using SH3 Commander I can no longer hear speech or most sound effects. What sound files does SH3 Commander overwrite?
A: SH3 Commander does not overwrite any game sound files. This problem will occur if you set the "Character animations", "Sound effects" and/or "Particle rendering" Time Compression events to 1. Reset each event back to the default value and try again (a Rollback is not sufficient to reset these settings). If your problem persists, scrutinise any new mods that you have installed since you last had full sound.
