View Full Version : Flag flying on sunken ships

I'm not sure if I have seen a thread on this before but, the other evening, my crew and I sunk an armed trawler. Using the external view, I watched the ship go all the way down to the seabed. I then noticed that the flag atop the mast was still flying as if the ship was still on the surface (either that or there are extremely strong currents down there in the Irish Sea :rotfl:). Is there the potential for a mod here?

no mod needed, someone just overlooked the VisibleUnderWater controller that's all. What game version did this happen to?

Thanks for the answer to my query. I am running SHIII with patch 1.4b and GWX and I am also running SHIII Commander. I am also running a shed load of other mods (the Cobalt skin with your fantastic exhaust smoke :D).

Racerboy, this is in all versions of SH3. Any ships that are sunk flags will do this. I doubt the crew will take the time to lower the flag, as the ship sinks beneath them, so it should show underwater but, not flap like it is in the wind. I'm not sure anything can be done about the flapping though.

also have any of you noticed it is still raining through the sub pens. I backed my sub into one after partol to get out of rain but it was still there:hmm:

Thats cos ALL land units have no damage models
Bullets rain through the sub pen also :damn:
