You get awarded one medal, but you get another... if someone has come up with a fix for that, I'd appreciate a link to the thread that contains it. Thanks!

Whats the deal on promotions? My crew get medals galore. I've picked up the Gold Oak Leaves & Swords, but where is my promotion?

What criteria do I have to meet?

Yeah. I've made some observations that are identical to what the author of realmedals made, but I disagree with the solution. He re-ordered the medals in the menu to go from least to most in priorty because of lack of any information about how the medals are handled in game. I believe that actually they should be ordered to match what is in medals.upc. I believe that medals.upc dictates what medals are awarded in what situations, and if you look at careertrack.upc, you see that if you do as I said, the medals output to careertrack.upc match what you get in-game. Now this only holds up IF the data being output to careertrack.upc is valid! It's not much of a better guess than the realmedals author's; it's just what I believe to be the case.

Edit:
After being awarded a few medals, I think that the author of realmedals is correct and I am not.

There was another medals mod out there (I forget the name) which was similar to CaptainCox's but didn't have the 3d models in the box changed. I liked it. It didn't fiddle with the medals order and I found that I was awarded the correct medals per situation -- ie, purple hearts for getting wounded, not for other stuff. I don't know if that mod was updated for 1.3 or whether that was even necessary. Anyone know and can provide a link?
