Those NFL Videos on that site never load for me. So, yes, I missed whatever it was.
Do you need to subscribe to view them?
That's strange, it's just NFL.com, no subscribtion needed. is your browser blocking them? I can't watch them at work, but at home I can see them. It was the fantasy football highlights;)
My browser (IE7) does not seem to be the culprit. No error messages or anything. It just hangs at the "loading" screen.

Nice to see them doing better after more than a few sub-par seasons. The end is near for Farve, just not yet.
Chargers still have lots of life :yep:

Do you use Peer Guardian or something like that? Perhaps an ad blocker or something?
I seem to remember I had to switch PeerGuardian off to watch YouTubes.

Bears won a stunner last week! Todd Sauerbrun must be the world's most inept punter; two TD returns allowed and a blocked punt!
This week:
The battle of the flaky quarterbacks! Who will have a nervous breakdown first? Wrecks Grossman or Not Nearly As Good As My Brother Manning? Tune in to find out...
As an aside, at least Da Bears still have a glimmer of hope left, and I suppose with Devin Hester they always have a chance, as long as the other team is dumb enough to kick to him!:know:

Good point. But the body of evidence suggests that might not be the best idea for every team. Its a big emotional lift if your special teams can stop him, but I sure wouldn't want to try it!:o

You know your right, to come off the bench with little game experience and do what he did, quite an accomplishment. Funny thing is, earlier that day I was watching a special on NFL TV and they were talking to 4 of his former back-ups and the face that they did not get much playing time during their stints with Green Bay. Mark Brunell, Ty Detmer and Matt Hasselbeck were three of them, can't think of the fourth :hmm:

If the Panthers dont beat the Niners tonight, I'm going to destroy a small country.
There's no doubt there's going to be a change at Head Coach for the team, rumour has it we'll be trying to get Bill Cowher. The good players are there, the team is just too disorganised to be effective, especially when Fox changes the starting QB every week. I'd start the one guy and stick with him, despite a poor performance in one game. Its important for building up confidence with recievers. :nope:

Good Rex definately showed up. So did bad, flaky little Eli. Unfortunately Bad Refs also showed up and screwed the Bears over with two of the worse calls I've ever seen ( a ridiculous interference flag and overturning a blaringly obvious incomplete pass in the endzone, which gave the Giants a TD) in the 4th quarter.:damn: The Bears deserved to win this one-it was one of those games.:nope:

My Chargers will continue on to their predestined game against the New England Patroits in the AFC play off game to determine who goes to the Super Bowl to meet the Dallas Cowboys or the Green Bay Packers or maybe even the New York Giants if they should get lucky.
Go Chargers 7-5 with four more to win: Tenn, Detroit, Denver Christmas eve Monday Night football game and then Oakland for the last game on New Years eve.

The Ravens gave the game away. Bad time out call on the forth down by the defensive coach. 100 yards of penalties. Ugly. I'm still proud of how they played and I think Boller is due his spot as a the starting QB. Well, there is always next year for me and my Ravens.

The Pat's are playing like Champions. They have the mark of champions as they play not too well but stay in the game and when it really matters they come up with the right play at the right time. I just hope they have not peaked to soon.
Looking forward to watching next sundays game against the Steelers. It is about time as most of there game's of late that have been shown on SKY in the Uk have been way to late for me. As i have to get up early in for work every Monday.

Before this season I would have a long list of things I didn't like about the Dallas Cowboys after having been a Houston Oiler fan from 1971 till 1977.
Now Dallas has Bum Phillps son Wade Phillips as their head coach plus he just finished as the defensive coach for the San Diego Chargers last season.
I gotta go with Dallas due to they have a chance against everyone except the New England Patroits.

I can't stand the Pats...then again, I'm for Indianapolis; and New England is our long-sworn nemesis. Although, we did, by some divine intervention, manage to squeak past them in the playoffs last year. Yeah, I really DID expect them to win, because the same freakin' thing happens every year. I never gave up ... it was a great finish ... LT could not be contained. He's like a cow that's been on the trail ride for days that smells water when he gets within a few yard of the end zone.
Did you see the 60 minutes show with LT last night. He's okay ... he's a winner for sure ... I hope this is the year of upset and LT gets his super bowl ring.
The Chargers have to beat Denver on monday night Christmas eve football to go to the playoff's ... I'll be there ... what an exciting year this has been just to make it this far.
I don't think anyone expected Green Bay or Dallas to be so good and surely no one predicted those winless teams to be so bad.

Yeah, it sure has been an up and down year for us Charger fans. It started out ugly, but with some hope sprinkled here and there. Now I am feeling pretty good. I missed the 60 minutes with LT. I would have liked to see that.
Christmas eve should be great. You're going to be at the game? That will be awesome. I have sadly never been to a football game, except for an arena football game in Anaheim once.
Anyway, the Chargers can beat the Pats. They just have to try not to shoot themselves in the foot like they have done in the past.

Bill Parcells is cutting a deal with Atlanta and Maimi at the same time to run the operation ... Looks like Maimi won the right to listen to him rant on about his football experiences at Dallas and Washington.
All most football teams need is a PR agent that listens to the fans and reports to the owner ... they could then have a raffle for the multi-million dollar pay out they would have paid a coach like Parcells.

I want to try being a Head Coach for a week or something. I adore playing the video game, and I'm keen to learn about football and to have that sense of pride: "All my work comes together this Sunday" and to have guys out there no-one would touch, but you had faith in, and they go tear it up on the field. Talk about job satisfaction.
oh, and by the way, a little trivia for you guys. Who said this?:
"Playoffs? Are you kidding me?! Playoffs?! I just hope we can win a game!"

Well I could've seen a loss to Dallas coming, but I should be thankful it was by a pretty small margin, only a touchdown.
Congrats to Matt Moore for his first ever TD pass in the NFL though, talk about pressure :rotfl:

Michael Vick's dogfighting ring did not harm you personally, just as no player or coach from the New England Patriots, or any other football team has personally harmed me. I just think that Belickick is a jerk, and Brady is a pretty boy. Outside of this, I do not require any more in order to like or dislike them, as this is merely professional football, not interational politics or questions of one's eternal soul.
For nik,
Running a FF league is actually a lot of work. You really have to montior the scoring to fine tune your formulae, as well as be there to remind members of a number of events, ranging from draft day to trade and waiver deadlines.

San Diego Super Chargers Lyrics
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
Charge!
We're coming your way,
We're gonna dazzle you with our super play.
The time has come,
You know we're shooting for number one.
With thunderbolts and lightning
We'll light up the sky,
We'll give it all we've got, and more
With the Super Charger try!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
Charge!
We've got a plan,
We're gonna do it for our super fans.
All we seek,
Is the goal line to victory.
We'll ignite you, excite you
With high voltage play.
We won't let up a minute,
We're going all the way - all the way!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
Charge!
We're coming your way
With the Super Chargers' play.
We're coming at you.
Now we're coming through!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
Charge!

As i dont live in the states and only keep up with the NFL via Sky Sports and online, i just can't understand why everyone seems to hate the Pats?
Is it because they seem to win all the time and no one likes a team that gets to big?
If so i thought the motto of US sports was that second place in nowhere and first place is all that matters.

Basically. People felt the same way about Tom Landrys Dallas Cowboys and Mike Ditkas Chicago Bears. They tend to hate winners unless they are the home team.

Hard to answer that question Chris, it has mulitple answers ...
1. New England is on the east coast where they also have NY Jets, Buffalo, NY Giants, Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens ... you get the picture. Lots of people refuse to switch teams, especially after they get beat by New England.
2. Something is just not right with a coach like they have, he's good true, he is a stickler for detail, but he looks like he has problems in the bathroom to me.
3. Brady has gone the way of other pretty boys, modeling in men's magazines (not the kind I read)
4. The little dog can take the big dog is a common theme in American football ...
Which brings us to the conclusion of the 2007/2008 NFL football season with only
six games left ...
Go Chargers come on you can do it ...

It just reminds me of Football in England during the 90's and early 00's Manchester United were hated by everyone who did not surport them. Due to the fact that they were always winning and had more money to spend in the transfer market than anyone else. Then in 2003 Another team called Chelsea get taken over by a Russian oil tycoon with billions of pounds to spend and hey presto over time everyone hates them for the same reasons that they hated Manchester United before.
@ geetrue,
When you speak of switching teams. I take it you mean cheering on another team after your team gets knocked out of the playoffs. I mean everyone wants the team that knockd them out to get knocked out next round.
Or did you mean people switching teams just because another team is doing better?
I mean where i come for you pick your team and stick by them win, lose or draw.

Same here or at least in my forty years of watching football ... the Houston Oilers was my team in the 70's
and nothing could replace that love affair as long as I loved them, but then they moved to Tenn and I moved to San Diego.
Now the San Diego Chargers have my heart ... when I watch another team play it just isn't the same feeling.

My goodness, the Giants-Packers game was a thriller. Ended with Brett Favre throwing one too many passes up for grabs, and that Giants kicker finally nailing the FG. I would have hated to be him if he missed 3 in a row :o

I would like to see the Pats go all the way but if the Giants take it, I will not be heart broken. The Giants gave them a hard time during the regular season. I hope the next two weeks they study the tapes and find a good defense against the Pats offense.
Other than that, I'm going to apply for the Ravens head coach job. I can not do any worse than this seasons performance;)

The NFL MVP quarterback was seen outside his Back Bay manse at dusk yesterday as he greeted the two Boston police officers who were watching his back. But when he stepped over to salute them, he walked with a noticeable limp
If it's no big thing ... why all of the secrecy?
Perhaps it happened in the Chargers game and perhaps it didn't.

If you haven't already noticed, Hillary Clinton's New York Giants are down here in John McCain's backyard to play Mitt Romney's New England Patriots, and the latest ESPN poll shows that Hillary's team is preferred by a solid majority of America's football fans.
The New York Post went so far as to declare the Giants "America's Team" in Sunday's editions, and if you can't believe the New York Post, well, I think we've got a serious crisis of national confidence on our hands at a critical time in our country's history.

Just got home from watching the game over at my son's house. Saturday night the power got knocked out in the middle of a snow storm.
Power restored by midnight ... woke up sunday morning with two foot of snow on the ground. I've been snowed in for three days.
But what a game ... that catch number 85 made on his helmet bending over backwards and holding on to the ball at the same time was the key to the best Super Bowl I've seen since the St Louis Rams beat Tennesee several years ago.
See you next year boys ... heard a rumor that Brady refused to fly on over to the Pro Bowl. He went on home ...

2007-08 Football predictions...
Peyton rules the Universe....
Bort is still passed out (face down) in the nachos behind the couch after the Bears crushing loss...
Neal has a full head of hair again....
Ol McBee has ordered a pallet full of nacho-cheese,salsa, chips and diet rootbeer to endure another heartbreaking Viking season.:lost:
1. Brett Fav-ray is still playing!?! When the yellow-jackets and Ensure wears off, you cheeseheads are screwed...
2. So, did Romo practice ball handling in the off-season?
3. Da Bears, well... Can Rex survive another season of Takeda insults?
4. Everyone must cheer for Da' Raiders...As Neal MAY move this thread to blendersim or tractorsim pages to save the public humiliation of last years performance.
5. I have no idea who the Viking players are this year? All I worry about: Must beat Packers, Bears, and Lions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYngqjNmUwk Can you hear the Viking battle horns?!?!
6. Will Randy Moss help or destroy the Patriots?
7. Detroit Lions [queue laugh track now]
8. Saints...Who gunno beat dem saints?
9. Can Peyton repeat?
10. The Chargers still have the best theme song in the NFL!
11. ...As the dude on ESPN radio said: Atlanta, you guys are screwed.:rotfl:
12. Will I make it to a Seahawks game this year? Torplexed are you out there???
So post your predictions here!!!
Well, I guess this is the end of the thread. Thanks to everybody who participated in it. It had more posts than last years:up: . It was a lot of fun, and nobody predicted the Giants to win!
Anyway, I guess the thread will sink into the depths of the forum threads...
so here's to next season's thread!
To conclude with my pre-season predictions:
1. Ensure stock has risen 200% with Fav-ray's resurgence:roll: .
2. Well, yes, but now he has the Jessica Simpson curse!:rotfl:
3. Isn't Rex selling cars now or something like that?
4. Neal has a full head of hair this year and I think he is currently wearing a "Texan" jersey.
5. Adrian Petersen!
6. Help. Isn't he Brady's new girlfriend now?:yep:
7. Face down in the Silverdome.
8. Who?
9. Wrong Manning.
10. Still have a cool song.
11. Right on the money!
12. Nope.
See ya'll next year:cry:  :ping:

So, in the "refining process" of the "chowder head", who's going to be the first person to dump hot clam chowder on their head? oops.

Hey Nikimcbee:
Is it true that the Vikings are going to build an outdoor stadium? What the feck are they thinking up there?
Are they really nostalgic for that old Met stadium?

Yeah, that's an ongoing issue:roll: . Ever since "domes" have fallen out of fashion, they (vikes, twins, UofM) want to get rid of it. They all want their own stadium and they want the taxpayers to flip the bill:nope: . There was talk that the vikes were going to build a stadium not too far from where I used to live, but I think that fell through.

I grew up in Minn and my friends from back there say they will build 2 stadiums close together in Blaine, a north Minneapolis burb.
They'll regret an open air stadium soon enough. My understanding is that a dome was attempted but voters nixed it because of cost.
The Twins playing outdoors I think is a good idea.

I used to live in Coon Rapids:up: . right before I moved, they build a huge soccer (football:roll: ) sports complex in Blaine.

Subsimming Viking fans! :rock:I've truly found a home... Niki and RickCSniper, where did you live in Minnesota? I grew up in White Bear. RickCSniper, I see you've also relocated to Colorado...nice change of scenery, eh? Let me know if you ever get down to Telluride...
As far as stadium talk...I just hope we get SOMEthing built, dome or no dome. I'd LOVE to see an outdoor stadium, personally. If the Packers can handle the cold, we sure as hell can too! I remember seeing a Vikes/Pack game at the old Met...those were the days. I don't know what I'll do if the Vikes end up having to move...it wouldn't be pretty. I'm not going to even think about the possibility...
As for the upcoming season though...I'm still in shock that we picked up Allen!!!
Our defence will be quite a force I beleive. Now it's all on Jackson (who I still have faith in). Anyway, despite only having a 2nd round pick on the first day to look forward to, the draft will be pretty interesting. I think people have finally forgotten about our draft "mishaps" in the past!
Cheers to all,
Howler :arrgh!:
