Have you got (or do you want) lots of nice pictures for your desktop in your "office" in SH4? Don't want to have to manually change which one shows up, but you want a different one every time?

Well, have I got a deal for you! Based on Fred8615's excellent idea, here is "A Girl in Every Port" and "Fraulein Im Jedem Hafen" (thanks Doolittle81 for the hint to do this version). Download and install this program, put your desk photos in the new folder in your game and your all set for a new girl for every patrol. Just before you enter your "office" in port, press the hotkey (you choose it when you install the program) and a new picture is copied into your game in the correct location to show up on your desk. Be surprised to see which of your beauties shows up on your desktop (so to speak:rotfl: ).

Fred8615 will be making a post soon with his picture packs reorganized to work with this program (if you don't want to rename and reorganize them yourself).

Please be sure to read the enclosed ReadMe file carefully for installation and usage instructions.

Please note that the picture resolution is different for the German Kaluen's desk and pictures created for the "Girl in Every Port" version of this program will have to be resized to appear correctly if used with the "Fraulein Im Jedem Hafen" version.

Anyone can use, package and/or host this application as long as Fred8615 and I are given credit and as long as the app is provided free of charge and you receive no compensation of any sort from any source for providing it.

Updated to version 1.1 to fix a limitation on the number of pictures allowed. A maximum of 10,000 pictures are allowed now.

Credits : Fred8615 for the excellent idea to do this application and for suggestions on its
implementation (and, of course, all the fine pictures that created the need for this type of app) and Doolittle81 for suggesting the "Kaluen's edition".

Download at Subsim Downloads (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=603)

Kaluen's edition (Fraulein Im Jedem Hafen) at http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=604

This application requires the .NET 2.0 framework.

As promised, I have reformatted my three Captain's Desk Photos mods to work with A Girl In Every Port. I also redid CDP 1 to 32 pics of just Danni Ashe. The George Petty pin-ups will be coming back in an expanded fourth version.

I'm also mirroring the A Girl In Every Port program on my site.

I want to publicly thank Digital Trucker for writing this for me. I couldn't write a program to add 1+1, and he did this over the weekend!

You da' man!!!

I just discovered there's a file number limit with GIEP. If you have more than 1000 TGA files, it gives an "Error reading main folder." It does this whether the files are in sub-folders or not, but isn't affected by any other filetype in the Captain'sGirls folder.

So you can't use all 9 of my CDP files at one time.

I knew there was something I forgot to put in the documentation. :damn: My apologies:oops: . I'll take care of it and get a new one posted soon. I'll bump it up a notch to 10000. I hope that will be enough :rotfl:

I have done both a JSGME and manual installation of the original and version 1.1 and keep getting an error message "Error copying picture into game" Any ideas as to cause? ( I have checked and double checked the install location)

Thanks

What operating system are you using, Nuc? If you're using Vista then there may be possibilities that I am not aware of.

If you are using XP, I can think of a couple possibilities as to the cause. One of the causes could be that there is no Data\CaptainPicture folder in the same folder with the program. This could either be caused by incorrect installation or the original blahblahblah\Data\CaptainPicture folder being deleted somehow. The other possibility that comes to mind is that the blahblahblah\Data\CaptainPicture\Picture.tga file is a read only file.

If neither of those is the case, let me know and I'll try to dig deeper into the problem.

I am using XP sp2; None of the picture files are read only; I believe I have everything in the right place as described below. Thanks for taking the time to think about it. -Nuc

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\CaptainPicture\picture.tga

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\GirlInEveryPort\GirlInEveryPort.exe

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\GirlInEveryPort\Captain'sGirls

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\GirlInEveryPort\Captain'sGirls\shannan leigh 11.tga

Just an install problem, it looks like, Nuc. Basically everything that's in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\GirlInEveryPort folder should be in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific folder and you can then delete the empty GirlInEveryPort folder.

i.e. C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\GirlInEveryPort\GirlInEveryPort.exe should be C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\GirlInEveryPort.exe

I'll have to take a look at the install instructions and make sure that it's a little more explicit. Sorry for the problems and hope this clears it up for you.

Slight problem I am having, everytime I run the Girl In Every Port exe, I get an error message saying

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Any ideas? I installed it via JSGME per the instructions in the readme. Have also tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it several times with the same result.

1) What operating system are you using? (If you are using Vista, where did you install the game? If it's in Program Files, then that may be the problem. I'm no Vista expert (and hope never to become one :arrgh!: ), but some problems can be caused by installing games in the Program Files folder because of the way that Vista handles UAC. If your problem is caused by Vista, please forward all of your spam E-mail to BillGates@microsoft.com and ask for a retro-upgrade to XP. Seriously, if this is the problem, please consider installing the game to someplace other than the Program Files folder for simplicities sake)

2) What .NET do you have installed? (It needs 2.0)

3) What name shows up in the JSGME dialog? (If it's not GirlInEveryPort, then you have an extra folder level. If so, disable the mod,go down into the folder GIEP1.1 until you get to GirlInEveryPort, right-click and cut, go back up to the MODS folder and paste, then delete the GIEP1.1 folder and reenable the mod.)

4) Who, who, who wrote the book of love?

5) What is the meaning of life?

That should about cover it, I hope. If none of the above solves the problem, feel free to holler back with the answers to at least the first 3 questions and we'll go from there.

Windows XP, so no thats not it.

Honestly, I have no clue, so this is probably it, will definitely check into it and let you know if that fixes it.

Yep its in JSGME correctly (this kinda issue was the first one I had with JSGME when I started using it)

Silent Hunter of course!!

Anyways, off to figure out what .NET I have, thanks DT!!

Nope, not yet (for the German game anyway, US still works fine). I'm not even sure where they keep the Kaluen's desk picture. It shouldn't be too difficult to take care of though. Change a line or two of code and add a Kaluen'sFrauleins folder to the game.

I'll look into it and get back to ya on it.

Funny you should mention that mod, that's where I went to find out where the texture was:up: Turns out that the stock picture is a dds format file. I tried removing the .dds and replacing it with a .tga (like is used in GIEP) and it works fine. So, now it's just a matter of changing a couple of lines of code and rewriting the instructions for the "Uboot" version, which I'm tentatively going to call "Fraulein in jedem Hafen" (unless someone corrects my German, which I last studied when Nixon was president:rotfl:)

Digital_Trucker

Ive done something wrong. When I run FIJP, it shows an errror: "Error reading main folder". I assume that FIJP cannot find my uniquely named Main Folders (for my two SH4 1.5 installations). Can you help me figure this one out?

Meanwhile, I took the liberty of cropping/resizing Fred8615's Marelene Dietrich Photo package (126 pictures) from the Captains DeskTop Photo (Fleet Boat office) size of 512x686 *'tga files to the Kriegsmarine photo size of 300x384. I'm assuming you have one install for an American career and one for a German career. As long as you used JSGME to activate it and the folder that's in the MODS folder is named FrauleinImJedemHafen, you should be good to go. The program and a folder named Kaluen'sFrauleins should have been added to your game (outside of the Data folder) and the original graphic for the desk picture removed when you activated with JSGME. The only way that you should get that error would be if the program and the Kaluen'sFrauleins folder weren't in the same place.

Oh, yeah, please don't tell me you're running Vista and your game is installed in the "Program Files" folder:damn::rotfl::arrgh!:

Doolittle81
08-16-08, 04:56 PM
I actually was one of the first people to track down the Program Files quirk/anomaly within a month or so of getting VISTA back in the Spring of 2007. That's not my problem today.

I have four installations of SH4:

C:\MyGames\Silent Hunter\ for the SH4 1.5 American Fleet Boat with RSRD.

D:\SilentHunter 15 German\ for SH4 U-Boat using the Pacific Environment Mod(s) with Operation Monsun.

D:\SilentHunter 15 GermanPE\ for SH4 U-Boat using W_Clear's Environment Effects MOD(s) with Operation Monsun.

D:\SilentHunter14 for the SH4 1.4 version.

Believe it or not, they all run correctly, and I've managed to keep my MOD management under control. I've really only used the Girl in Every Port picture-swapping (all Veronica Lake pics) when running the above mentioned C:\ Fleet Boat installation. GIEP works perfectly there.

I note just today in my troubleshooting that even with the simple D:\ 1.4 installation, GIEP does not work, giving the same error message: "Error reading main folder"

The above leads me to think that GEIP and FIJP somehow are looking for a "main" folder called simply and specifically "Silent Hunter"....That make any sense?

Digital_Trucker
08-16-08, 05:49 PM
Well, yes and no. That error is thrown if the program can't find the folder with the pictures (either Captain'sGirls or Kaluen'sFrauleins) in the same location as the program. You have the program installed via JSGME in each installation, right?

Both programs only look in the folder that they are installed in (unless you specify a start location other than where they are installed in a shortcut to the program). As far as I can tell, the only way that error should appear is if the picture folder is missing. I'll do some testing here, too, and see if I can replicate the error.

Doolittle81

Here's what it looks like:
http://members.cox.net/doolittle80/FIJH.jpg

Digital_Trucker
08-16-08, 08:04 PM
Now I'm at a loss. There's only one place in the program where that error message is displayed and that's if the picture folder isn't found.

When did you notice that GIEP wasn't working in your other installation? Do you happen to know if there were any updates to your .NET recently? I tested the same exact setup (although in XP) and it worked fine here (both GIEP and FIJH).

The only thing different about FIJH from GIEP is that it was built using VB 2008 instead of VB 2005 and I have the latest .NET (3.5 I think it is), but none of that would affect the version of GIEP that you have because it was built with VB 2005 and .NET 2.0.

Doolittle81
08-17-08, 02:51 AM
Showing my ignorance: I have NO idea what a .net is.....!!!!!

Digital_Trucker
08-17-08, 08:24 AM
It's used for fishing for bits and bytes:rotfl:. It's kind of like the DirectX runtime routines, but for programming languages. You can tell which version you have by looking in your add or remove programs dialog in the Microsoft area. You'll see something like Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 (the number at the end could range from 1.0 to 3.5, and there may be more than one entry). I don't really think that it's a .NET problem, but who knows (especially when dealing with Vista).

Let me know which versions you have installed and we'll go from there. GIEP was created with .NET 2.0 and FIJH was created with .NET 3.5 installed, so I'm guessing that if you have .NET 2.0 installed, then the problem isn't related to .NET. If this is a fairly recent install of Vista (i.e. installed after .NET 3.0 came out) you may not have 2.0 installed. It's possible to have all versions installed at the same time (I have 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5). Some applications (Shoot voice control, for example) require older versions of .NET to function correctly.

I don't remember any problems with backwards compatibility from 2.0 forward, but I'll have to check on that, too. Which version of Vista are you running? I'll show my ignorance of Vista here and ask if it's a 32 bit or 64 bit version.

Also, if anyone else out there is using GIEP and Vista and happen to see this, please let me know which versions of .NET and Vista you have for troubleshooting purposes. Thanks.

Doolittle81

Here's what I show:
http://members.cox.net/doolittle80/Programs.jpg

I have VISTA Home Premium 32 bit

I have now installed the FIJH into my 1.5 American version (C:\MyGames\Silent Hunter\ ). Added the Kaleun'sFrauleins Folder (with300X384 TGA files/pics) and the Executable FIJH into the root Silent Hunter. FIJH doesn't work there, either.

Digital_Trucker
08-17-08, 12:31 PM
Well, I learned something new today. .NET 3.0 is included in Vista. I'm still looking into whether you would need .NET 2.0 (if there is such a thing in Vista) for the correct operation of GIEP and FIJH.

Totally up to you if you want to try this or not, but there is a .NET 3.5 update which may or may not help. It's at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en

I honestly don't know if updating to 3.5 would do you any good or not. I'll keep looking to see if 2.0 needs to be installed.

GIEP worked correctly before you tried to run FIJH, right? I'm trying to get a handle on what has changed in regards to GIEP that would cause it to work at one time and not at another.:damn:

Edit : Well, now I'm really confused. One site says 3.0 is included in Vista, another says it's a elective install portion of Vista, so I have no way of knowing whether you really have it or not, unless you try to install it and get told that it's already there.

Doolittle81

Doolittle81
08-17-08, 01:12 PM
Here's what happened. In your ZIP file, you named the MOD Folder "FrauleinInJedemHafen" instead of ""FrauleinImJedemHafen"

I renamed the Folder(s) and FIJH is now working.

Whew!

Disregard my report of a problem with GIEP. I cannot duplicate that problem and now GIEP is working in whichever SH4 installation I put it.

Everything is now copasetic!!! :)

You're welcome, Doolittle. Glad it's working for you now:up: And yes, our fear of the new and different does cause us to point fingers at Vista for all the wonderful things that computers manage to do for no apparent reason.

My inital concern regarding Vista was that, since the applications were developed on an XP system and I have read about some differences in the code generated on one OS vs the other, I wondered if what was working on my machine might not be working on Vista machines.

Ah, well, who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of Microsoft operating systems. Why, not even the Shadow knows the answer to that one:rotfl:.

Just in case, I renamed the folder, rezipped, reuploaded and repointed the link to the new zip. You never know with stuff like this. I once spent 3 days debugging a 2,000 line COBOL program, only to find that one period was missing at the end of a sentence.:damn:

Out of curosity, where is the Desk photo *.dds/*.tga file located??

Digital_Trucker

The file is .......\Data\Textures\TNormal\tex\CaptainRoom_Pict ure.dds

When you activate FIJH, it removes this file from the game (backing it up, of course) so that you can use .tga files instead. I believe that if this file were to stay in the game it would take precedence over any .tga file with the same name.

Here are some Sized/formatted German pics, mostly Marlene Dietrich but also other German actresses of the 1930's and 1940's time period, which I use with FIJH Application:

I tried installing GIEP several months ago. I failed and gave up. I just tried again. I am deleting everything so I can start over with a new set of instructions. I download GIEP into mods. I download Captains Girl #1 and Captains Girls #21 into my mods folder. I actived GIEP via JSGME. I extracted Captains girls photos and thumbnails into a Captains Girl Folder in mods and copied it to the main SH4 folder where the Data file is located. Nothing works. I tried different things and they did not work either. I do not know what a hot key is and how to set it up, so that advice in one the posts is useless to me. Can someone give me a step by step tutorial on what to do. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND I AM READY TO KICK MY DOG AS I AM LOSING IT!

I need step by step instructions because I just wasted two hours on this mod and it does not work. Start me at the beginning and assume nothing, please. I will delete what I have downloaded and try it again after I get instructions. I printed the readme and followed it, so I am doing something wrong.

First of all, don't download the mod into your mods folder. Download it somewhere else and extract it. Then follow the directions in the readme (important parts highlighted)

Installation instructions :

Once you have decompressed the archive, you will find a folder named GirlInEveryPort. Either place that folder in your MODS folder (preferred method) and use JSGME to activate itor place it's contents into your BlahBlahBlah folder (what's a BlahBlahBlah folder, you ask? It's the folder that you installed SH4 into. THe one that contains the Data folder).

Once you have done that, you will find a folder in your game install folder named Captain'sGirls. This is where you put your correctly sized .tga format desk pictures. As always, please keep backups of your pictures in case some little gremlin gets in and messes the ones in the Captain'sGirls folder up or you decide to uninstall SH4 and delete the install folder forgetting that all your pics are in there.

You can put the pictures in loose (not in folders) or you can organize them into folders (and even subfolders if you're that organized). The program doesn't care where they are as long as they are somewhere in the Captain'sGirls folder and they are .tga files.

After you've placed all your pics in the folder, you have a decision to make. Do you want any of the pictures to be used more than once before the others are used? This program uses a purely random (at least as random as Visual Basic can be) algorithm to determine which picture to use next. This could result in the same picture being on your desk more than once. The program is set up to avoid this by renaming the pictures as it uses them until it has used them all and then resetting the names and starting over again with a random choice. If you DON'T want the program to do this, you must run it with a command line argument of Y (or y). If you don't know how to do this, I'll explain it in a second.

OK, you've got the program installed and you have your pictures in place and you've decided how you want the program to operate. What do you do now? First, find the GirlInEveryPort.exe file in your game install file and create a shorcut to it on your desktop (or where ever you keep your shortcuts). Then right click on that shortcut and select properties. If you decided to allow repeats, then this is where you put in your command line argument. You will see a text box labeled "Target". In the box will be the path to the program. This path will be either enclosed in quotes (") or not. Either way, go to the end of the path and and a space and the letter Y (or y). That takes care of the repeats. If you don't want to allow repeats, don't add anything. Now click on the text box next to the heading "Shortcut key". WHen you do, the system will start "listening" for you to enter the key/key combination that you want to use for a "hotkey" for this shortcut.
Press the key combination you want to use now (I used control-alt-R). You should see your key combination in the text box now. Lastly, click the arrow next to the drop down box labelled "Run" and select minimized. Once that is all done press apply and then OK.

Okay, I am through fooling around. I have spent way too much time with this Mod. So this will be straight business.

I will walk you through what I did. The computer that I use for SH4 runs Windows XP, Professional edition. All downloads to Windows XP from Microsoft are automatically installed and up to date.

1. I have a file folder in the main SH4 folder called Mods and a file folder called Archived Mod Downloads. I downloaded GIEP and CDP1 and CDP22 into the Archived Mods Downloads folder. Then I extracted the three downloaded files described in the preceding sentence to the Mods file.

2. After extracting the files, I opened the Mods file folder. This is where all of my mods are stored. Within the Mods file folder I locate the extracted file folders CDP1, CDP22, GIEP, and a file created by the extraction entitled, "Captain's Girls." At this point, I have these four file folders in the Mods folder relating to the GIEP installation.

3. I activate the GIEP file via JSGME. Note: Rmaining in the GIEP folder are the GirlsInEveryPort_ReadMe file, and an icon of a woman in the red dress which I assume is the program's execution file (which, if I am correct, is described as the "GirlsInEveryPort.exe" file on page 2 of the ReadMe text file.)

4. l move the extracted CDP1 and CDP22 folders and their contents (which includes their respecitive readme texts, thumbnails and tga files) to the Captain's Girl's file folder. Their Captain's Girl's file folder now contains the CDP1 and CDP22 file folders (i.e. they are subfolders in the Captain's Girl file folder.)

5. Returning to the GIEP folder, I open it and create a shortcut for the icon of the woman who looks like she is dancing (i.e. the GIEP program execution file), and drag it to the desk top.

6. I follow the instructions re activating a hot key to run the GIEP program. The instructions for this task are straightforward. I set Control + Alt + R as the hot key. [The shotgun begins dancing around the room. My three dogs (toy poodles) leave.]

7. I activate the GIEP program by toggling the hot key (or alternatively, by double clicking on the shortcut icon on my desktop.) Actually, I should say that I initially attempted to activate GIEP by toggling the hot key, and on my next attempt, by double clicking the icon on my desktop.

8. I run SH4. I start a new mission to test GIEP.

9. It did not work.

10. Not easily intimidated, I tried again, starting a new campaign to see if the GIEP mod was working. As you have undoubtedly deduced, it did not, and the captain's desk photo merely displayed the game's stock picture.

11. After spending HOURS on this mod's installation, I calmly reach over, pick-up the shotgun, and fire both barrels at the computer screen, open the window of my second floor computer room, and heave it over the fence into my neighbor's side yard.

12. My son calls Happy Dale Sanatarium in Death Valley and requests information on its admisson policy, telling me that it is fun there, computer simulation games are not part of the cirriculum or treatment, and that I [I]deserve a vacation. I told him that I would check in for a 6 month stay if am unable tot get GIEP working by my birthday, which happens to be tomorrow, so time is of the essence.

13. Anybody seen my dogs?

14. (All files are intact so I can move them, etc. as instructed.)

(The inmates are loose and running the asylum)

As I said in the other thread, DO NOT EXTRACT THE MOD INTO THE MODS FOLDER! EXTRACT IT TO YOUR DESKTOP OR ANY OTHER PLACE THAT YOU CAN FIND IT. Then open the folder that is created up and keep opening folders until you get to the GirlInEveryPort folder. THAT IS THE FOLDER THAT YOU WANT TO PUT IN YOUR MODS FOLDER.

Then activate it with JSGME. Then create your shortcuts FROM THE .EXE THAT IS IN THE GAME INSTALL FOLDER, NOT THE MODS FOLDER. Put your pictures in the Captain'sGirls folder in the game install folder, not the mods folder, too.

That should do it. And put the shotgun away, it'll only get you in trouble:D

When I tried to install GIEP before, somehow I got Vargas photos showing up when I started the game. They appeared in place of stock game footage at the inception of the game, in place of the Naval personanel that are on the screeen after the introductory scene where the poem is recited, but before you enter the office for mission assignment. I do not know how to replicate that, but there is nothing like a scantily dressed woman to get you ready for battle! Maybe it was part of the stock program? (What did I do right?) If you have any ideas, let me know.

By the way, I downloaded all 25 CDP files and extracted them, so I have enough photos for years to come. It is an amazing collection of pics and art work, which I am sure took considerable time to assemble. It is most appreciated.

Also, I am going to take a run at the Radio Station Manager mod. That ought to scare the hell out of you.http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon10.gif I had a problem last time because I did not know where to find the mod, but I located it tonight in Morbius' posting which lists many of the mods. I have installation instructions which I think may be written by you, abut new to the game and had no idea what to do. I have a slightly better understanding now, plus I have learned much in the two months I have been playing and visiting the forum. I will study everything related to the RSM mod tomorrow. Hopefully, I will not have as difficult a time installing RSM as I had with GIEP. I glanced at a screen shot of the Radio Station Manager mod tonight, and it did not scare me too badly. I will try install it tomorrow, along with one radio new station, as a birthday present to myself. I have downloaded the 34 NBC radio station files, and if I get that station up and running properly, then I will install one station per day until I fill up the radio.

Glad you got GIEP running:rock:As for the pictures showing up in places other than on the desk, I don't have a clue what happened there. Just to set the record straight, too, I didn't do the pictures. Those are Fred8615's hard labor. On the question of putting more girls in the office (like on the wall), it's possible, but those textures contain more than just the picture. It's not something that could be rotated by a program, but if you have one in particlar that you'd like to see in place of one of the posters, that could be done fairly easily.

As for finding my few mods, it's very easy, just look at the bottom of my signature and there are links to most of them. I hope RSM goes well for you. Just remember to follow the readme and make sure that, after the mod is activated, the RadioStationManager program is in the same folder as the game .exe file (SH4.exe).

And Happy Birthday:D

The files that need to be changed to get the pinup girls on the wall in the office have other things on them, too. It's not just a matter of changing a file and you're done. You have to open up a graphics file and paste the image you want into the right area on the texture, then save it and put it into the game. You would have to manually repeat that process each time you wanted to change the pinup.

I saw the title of the thread and had to stake claim... :D

You see I am a 45 year old, United States Navy disabled Veteran medically retired due to injury in the line of duty..

BUT the one good thing I got out of my time in the Navy is that I CAN and DO claim to have had a "Girl in every port"! :yep:

You see there was this girl in France and then the one in Ireland... oh man Ireland....... and then the one.........

And now for the punch line...

I DID truthfully have a girl in every port! I married my now ex-wife in Norfolk while serving on the U.S.S. Comte de Grasse DD974, I had my oldest daughter while in Palma de Mallorca Spain, I had my next daughter while serving onboard the U.S.S. Henry B Wilson, DDG7 in San Diego and I had my youngest daughter while based near Great Lakes Naval Station! HA!

Fred -

O.k. call me dumb but I finally figured out that the artwork, pictures, etc. that are affected by your program are no place on the submarines themselves but on the Captain's desk in the office - where the map, the submarine model, the medals, etc. - when you start a campaign [as opposed to a War Patrol or a Single Mission].

Now all we need is a program to change the artwork in the subs themselves - the picture in the conning tower.

Sorry, good work!!!:D

Unfortunately, that has to be edited by hand. Those pics are part of files that also have other sub and/or office stuff in them, so you can't just change that with a program.

AGIEP has a specific folder that you have to put the pictures in. I forget what it's called because I use my own program now, but it should tell you in the readme for AGIEP.

Yeah that's a totally different file type and size. You can't just put a resized pic there, it has to be pasted into a larger file.

About .NET, it has to be 2.0 at least. I don't know how it works with later versions.
