Here's a couple questions for you modding guys.

I'm looking to change a couple of the AI sensors. Mostly visual for offline play.

What files need editing? Just the sensors.cfg? Or the sim.cfg as well?
Which parts do what and which way you modify the values does what?
I don't want to nerf my lookouts eyes too though. Is there one for your crew and another for the AI ships planes etc?:know:

I don't want the AI lookouts to spot me until I'm about ~6000-7000yds out during the day in calmish seas with a low aspect and slow speed(nose or tail on). Spot me farther with a broadside aspect or high speed. Or until I'm within about ~1000yds at night. Is this posible? I'm talking visual only. If they have radar all bets are off...:ping:

Is there already a how-to that explains the values in these and other files that I have overlooked somehow? :damn:

I looked through the modding FAQ sticky thread and there was nothing in there about what I'm looking for. Even a simple I'm on the right track would help :sunny:

The two files your looking at are sim.cfg, and AI_sensors.dat.
