Cruising the med lately and honestly it seems strange to see this beautiful med weather and yet my watch crew is wearing long sleeved north atlantic uniforms. From what I understand the uniform is molded around the 3d model of the crew body. Is there no way for one of the skilled modders here to create a new model where the crew body could be uniformed in short sleeves? ( Guess this is really a two for one mod request because a new model would require new uniform skins.:yep: )

At the very least, does anyone know if this is even possible? Or where the crew body model is located if there is one. I tried to find it without success. I have no modding skills but I'd give it a try.

I'm not strong with the models but this doesn't seem like it should be that big of a change. Just trim the model arms and viola:up: I just couldn't find them. I thought they were here C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Crew but I couldn't make any sense of it.

i opened the .dat file and got at the crew model.
i cut down the arms and extended the wrists to give a lower arm look to the model.
i statred a mission and got the modders worst nightmare crash to desktop.
basicly the game didnt like the changes i had made to the model.
i think that it is very picky about the joints in the model. if you change them it will not like it as it cant animate it properly.
also when i opened the model it was a quite low poly version of the model. not sure why. it was definately the one for the subs crew.
ill keep at it and see what i can come up with

What are you!? Some sort of defeatist? The Med is hot and with the sun bouncing off the water the men are prone to SUNBURN! Hour in the boat and you want the men to get a tan? You'll think "why did not have the men in long sleeves" when that Limey Tin Can comes toward you and the helmsman cannot open the valves faster due to that painful burn he got because of your lack of disicpline. Or the moans of those red and sore as they try to be quite during a dash in silent speed away from that hunting Limey. And you wonder why the Italians are lousy.... brown and tan great for the beach but.....:arrgh!:
