Mod to return More authentic Combination caps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combination_cap) for Chiefs and Officers, I noticed the old mod doesn't work with ver 1.3. And would it be possible to have the correct Emblems for Chief and Officers on the Combination Caps?

The old mod works fine with 1.3.

Never seen it referred to as a combination cap before. Service hat or "bus drivers hat" was the usual. and Don't even ask me about what a oversea's cap is called :88)

You were in the Air Force weren't you?

Well . . . I tried using the old mod, it got the ranks and the textures right . . . but the ranks were on the wrong officers . . . Ens to LTs . . . LTs tagged as Ens . . . and the Combination Cap didn't take.

So maybe there needs to be a new mod?

The depicted rank insignia is and never has been tied to the crewmember's rank, unfortunately.

And again, the new cap works absolutely fine here. My guess is you have another mod conflicting with it.

Yup, and as much as a mystery Naval rank is to me, i did take the time to research it, if your refering to the rank insigna on officers in Trigger Maru, or any other mod that places collar insignia.

Unfortunatly what shirts a crewmember gets, is random. I beleive theres 3 sets of uniforms for officers, and the game randomly skins the officer model with any of the three, at any point in time. Its impossible to get rank correct. Originally i didnt include officer rank insigina modifications for this very reason. In the end, i gave up on it, and figured some rank (even if incorrect) is better then no rank displayed at all.

Well if you're the author of this mod, then I thank you . . . but I will keep it disabled until atleast the combination/service cap is fixed for vanilla ver 1.3
