Since no one likes to be on patrol in SH4 and not finding anything to sink, i thought it may come in handy (especially since i'm not that familiar with all the events in the Pacific War) to list a timeline.
This way you can easily see where the next action is going to be.
I listed all the major events, both land and sea but the emphasis is ofcourse on naval battles.
As for historical accurasy; there could be some dates that are not entirely correct (due to differences of opinion with the authors of the original timeline i have in books) but it should work fine.

Now, if anyone wants this i will make two version; one for stock SH4 and one for Trigger Maru.
If you're interested please let me know.

I get the feeling you will have a number of replies to this thread :smug:

I think everyone has been sailing around, recieved PAC news and thought 'If they let me know earlier I could actually get there', on time and with X amount of fuel ^^

Count me in, nice job Mcaa666 ;)

You may also want to include some of the alternative names or nicknames for some of the events. For example, the battle of the Philipines Sea is also known as the 'great marianas turkey shoot'.

And out of curiosity but why does the battle for Malaya already start before the bombardment of Pearl Harbor has taken place?

Since the battle started on December 8, I would say that's a typo. In day/month order it should be 08/12.

Actually, Malaya did happen first.

I guess someone better tell Wikipedia, then, because they think it started December 8, 1941. That's what I get for trusting an on-line encyclopedia:damn:

Edit: Link to the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Malaya

Hi Guys , thnx for all the great replies.
After much research on how to add pages to the help screen, i finally decided to do a more extended version.
So..... now we have three pages containing all the major events in the pacific war.
The first page contains information on JAPANESE acts of aggression except for the doolittle raid on tokyo (didn't know where else to put it since it is no real allied war campagne)maybe, the second and third page contains all the allied war campaigns which eventually cleared the pacifc of all japanese presence (except for Japan itself ofcourse).

Hope you enjoy, i hope i can upload the files soon but i have no internetconnection of my own so it might take a while especially because the version you see here is embedded in my own modded version of TM.
So i have two do two seperate version; one for stock SH4 and one for the "stock" TM.
So please bear with me.

@Pepsican: You are actually right: The battle for Malaya started on 08/12/1941(it was a typo from my end).
It also sounds cool to include alternative names for some of the events.
Only difficulty is: i don't know any of those names (so maybe you could help).

To all readers: if you spot anymore typo's or anything else please let me know.
Talk to you later.....

Looking good so far! But my spelling has a lot to be desired so can't help you there.

It's Pearl Harbor, not Harbour. If we were talking about a generic harbor, then yes, "harbour" would be correct, depending on where you live. But, in this case it is not. ;)

would it be possible to list the dates like this:

7 Dec 1941

This is more universal around the world as you don't mistake the day for the month if your used to writing dates in the mo/day/yr format.

Yes please, that month/day/year thing in numerals will fudge me everytime.

Ok since i've seen some requests for a revised date format, i decided to do 4 versions;
two for the ones who like the old dateformat (stock and TM) including myself i guess, and two with the new dateformat (also stock and TM).
Ofcourse this means that you guys will have to wait a bit longer for the release.
I am at the moment working very hard on the stock SH4 version so bear with me.
Cheers, mcaa666

@ JimRat, thnx for the info, do you happen to know when the battle off Savo Island ended?
I will incorporate this once i have an end date.
