I need to know the resolution everyone is currently playing at in order to make up a list for a poll. If you see a resolution you use already mentioned, don't post it again, I'm going to include them all in the poll.
The reason is supporting any one resolution with sh4speech is a fair bit of work, and I'd like to prioritize that work to cover the most people as quickly as possible.
I have noticed, for example, that 1920-1024 = 896, and the dials happen to be exactly 898 pixels to the right in 1920 mode. So I might try to use this instead, eventually, to handle different resolutions more intelligently and automatically.

Yup, I gotta be the black sheep. 1152 x 864 here. :ping: Guess I see a switch to 1280 x 1024 if things start to look bad. I like to run the graphics WFO so I keep the resolution to the lower setting. I bet changing wouldn't make much difference.

1280 / 960
Only cause i use 360 degreesBearing tool which doesn't work in 1600 / 1200. If it'd worked, i'd use 1600 ... ( i know you don't care, so forgive me the details ;) )

I've run it on both 1680x1050 and 1024x768 (have two monitors), but have gone to mostly 1024x768. The former res doesn't seem to perform too well on my PC, while the latter gets me a constant average of 50fps (40 in port or near task forces, 60 in open sea). :hmm:
(Running dual-core AMD64 4600+, GeForce 8600GTS)
1024x768 Medium which is good enough for me. :smug:

Thanks for all the replies. Due to the frightening number of different resolutions, I've looked into it and discovered that they use a pretty simple, predictable algorithm for determining placement on different resolutions. I don't think they redesigned the various screens manually for each one, it just offsets it a certain amount, which explains why the BMPs don't stretch (so they look tiny at high res and huge at low res) and why they said it will "work on any resolution your PC supports" (even though they lied about anything less than 768 vertical, like 720P THE MOST POPULAR HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISION FORMAT ON THE FARKING PLANET (and before you say it, no, 1080p is not more popular, 720P sets have been around longer and sell cheaper and have a higher installed base than the more expensive 1080p systems. 1080i maybe, but that resolution sucks and nobody in their right mind uses it. Most 1080i sets that are not 1080p are 720p natively and the native res is always the best.)
Anyway, I'll be skipping the poll since I will be able to smartly support all resolutions with sh4speech shortly. Now that there are resolution-specific mouse clicky functions in there, this is a high priority for me.
