Hello All,
I seem to be having difficulty activating game mods after I have downloaded JSGME. I have unzipped all the downloaded mods from CaptainCox's mod index and placed them into a sub file as per the JSGME instructions but they still do not merge into my game files for play! I'm a newbie at modding SH4 so any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.
Help!
Please note: - I also have the GME as one of my desk tops and I am able to at least switch between available and activated mods.

Welcome to Subsim Matey!
Inside the SH4 Main Program folder, you will find JSGME.exe. Run it & you will see a window showing your downloaded mods on the left. Click to hightlight one, then click the Activate Mod button, this will move the chosen mod to the right of the window. It is now activated. Wash Rinse & Repeat.;)
EDIT - Just seen your edit. Disregard what's above. Make sure the folder tree for the mod is correct and that there isn't an extra folder created during the extraction process.
A correct Folder tree should be:
Best Mod Ever > data > etc.........
Also, if this is on Vista, I wil bow out to someone else, as funky things can happen.

If you are still needing help, check out the guide on my sig, it is a good one. Actually, I think I got this link originally from a post made by danlisa :yep:
Anyway, let us know how you make out.

Hello RDP,
I had no idea modding for SH4 was this involved. It's no wonder the JSGME (Jonesoft) was not working for me. The instructions given are way too simple to be true in the help file.
Thank you my friend. I will keep you posted since it will take me some time to digest all this! :)

Hello RDP,
I finally figured out how 'move' my files to properly activate the Mods. Thank you again for all your help. Now I can really enjoy this sim! Please see the attached screenshot for my crew's new uniforms! (Check out my new 'brim' too.)

Nice screen Navelintel:up:
Glad you got it working. JSGME is a must if you are using mods, makes like much less complicated.
Good Hunting.
