Moin,

Im trying to adjust the simfile for a new ship.
I was looking into it, changing speed, power and RPM without problems.
But now the problems:
When giving the correct "displacement", the ship is sinking like a stone and i have to put in "0".
When giving the corrct "draught", the ship flips over and is sinking too, so i also have to put in "0".
Do I have to convert measures or something like this?
Also i get no clue about "mass", "gc_height" and "fr_ratio". :hmm:

Einlightenment would be appreciated :yep:

Thanks in advance,
pontius

mass The object's mass [Tons]. If 0, then the object's surfaced displacement is taken.
gc_height Gravity center height from the object's bottom [m]. If 0, then the half of geometric bounding box is taken.
fr_ratio Gravity center horizontal position [>0]. 1=FRONT, 0.5=MIDDLE, 0=REAR.
displacement The object's displacement [Tons]. If 0 then the object's mass is taken.
draught The object's draught [m]. If 0, then it is taken from the object's global position.

The best advice is as BB said is to look in a similar sized existing ship sim file and copy the parameters to give you a good start, then you can finbe tune from there, remember though that real life values not always provide the desired results in the game.

Thank you very very much ref!!
Now my tweaking gonna be much more controlled :)

For stock SH3 she moves quite ok now, but in GWX she is dancing , and sometimes to heavy .lol But now it can go further.

Thanks,

Try increasing a bit the mass and lowering the gc_height, just try with small changes at a time, it's a tedious work, but the only way to do a good work.
