Still a lot to do but the GWX 2 U-boat Version is rocking
on the right way, One thing is for sure Defenitive, you

Just a suggestion: you may wish to darken the grey font from this image
the text in first and fourth section is readable, but the second and third (middle) is quite hard to read, or alternatively darken the TGA or edit it somehow...

Hi guys,

This update concerns only the newest graphic
I have been developing for U-Boat 1.2 in the
past 3 days.

A totaly remade Main campaign screen...
This is an actual Sat snapshot from Hearth
retouched only in color and 3D effect!

I am hoever planing in making another using
the Red color light just to see how it goes ,
thought mi first try with red light wasn't
sactisfactory cause it changed a lot the Map colors...

U-boat 1.2 for GWX Beta testings started

U-boat 1.2 for GWX 2.0 is now under beta testings!
Thought I am sure it works fine I just want to be
absolutly sure the task is done!

The U-boat 1.2 for stock will start the testings tomorrow
and the official release will be just of the same type as
the other version for GWX, thats All graphic enchancements
and adds on the menus and interface...
A more Completed version will be released if wanted in the
next Mounths!

Might be a stupid question but here we go :roll:

Will this be usable with OLC GUI (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=124639)? I really like your work with all the menus and officer icons, but looking at these last screens it looks like you change the gui aswell... If so a version that didnt change the gui would make me a happy camper :up:

Keep up the awsome work anyways man! Will try it out either way and see with i like best OLC or your master work...

After some browsing in the post Im now guessing it wont be usable with OLC, stupid me breaking forum rules :p

No mate it will not,
Olc made the Mod compatb. to GWX 1.3,
This is a completly diferent kind of Mod,
its more graphic changes and it will not
change the GWX 2 core files...

I will however release a Pdf file were i will give you guys
sugestions to possibly configure the game that it will
allow you to enjoy more some of the U-boat 1.2 features
like giving an example, German voices, in the Repeted orders,
New german sounds in the sub, Telegrph sounds from TikiGod
amoung others...

Final Update developement



Hello fellow Captains !

Finally I fell that the Mod as reached the end
on what on graphic dev concerns...

i am assembling the Download version of both
compatible versions ( GWX 2.0 & SHIII 1.4b).

The version for GWX 2 as proved to be without
any errors on the beta testings I have made
and after a full patrol what i can say is that
I have found no problems with it ...
Beta testings on this version will be finished
sonday afternoon and the Mod will be
released betwin Sonday night and Monday
afternoon depending on the Uploading times,
2 link tipes are in target, one over FileFront
and another over MegaUpload !

The version for SHIII 1.4b will start the Final beta
testings tommorrow morning and will have 2
days almost of testings to be sure that is free of
any errors or bugs, mi beta team mates will be on
work for a fiew hours I guess..

Plans on release date will be the same time and day
as the brother version for GWX 2, and the link download
locacions the same!


Be ready my friends cause Here it comes !

I agree that JC's work looks absolutely awesome...

As far as the OLC GUI working fine...I have a slightly different opinion. I suggest that anyone wanting to know more about that visit the OLC GUI thread...because it can give you a much clearer picture of what has to happen for it not to cause a CTD...
