Hi folks!

i figured after trolling subsim.com since SH4 came out i would drop in and say hello.

I also wanted to send a personal thanks to all the amazing work the modders have done with this game. Having been a huge Submarine Sim game fan since SH2, i want to thank you for taking this game to a level the developers have been unable to do themselves.

You have made SH4 playable, dramatic, nervewracking, realistic, and well worth my money.

Kudos to you all!

I too have been lurking around here for a few months and I would have bailed on this game a long time ago if not for this forum and all the great mods. Now, instead of shelving the game, I have become a hopeless addict. The wife hardly talks to me, work around the house is piling up, I get no sleep and I'm behind at work but by god the Japs are having a hard time getting from point A to point B.:p

Welcome aboard!

Ya know, I've been the same way with this game. After 1.3 came out and squashed some major bugs, and I added the Living Breathing Ocean mod () among others, SH4 has finally pulled me out to sea. I've been spending far too much time on the computer prowling the Pacific, and loving every moment.

A tip of the cap to everyone here at Subsim who has helped others and worked hard to improve this great game.

And I'm looking forward to more! :yep:

WELCOME ABOARD! Both of you!

One word of warning, though: one post is not allowed; you must now continue posting until the new newbs think you are an old salt. Or until you really are an old salt, like a few folks I won't mention.:rotfl:

Well, after reading everyones posts for the last few months, i almost feel like i've known some of you for ever. So i hope to help contribute in any way i can.

I'm a little jittery and feeling withdrawal syndromes as my watercooling pump broke last week and i'm expecting a replacement from Thermaltake tomorrow. Right now as it stands i can only run my computer for about 20 minutes at a time (no games, just the internet) before water tempurature gets too high.

I am dying to get some mileage in with TM1.4... haven't played in a week...

i did have a question though: has anyone started playing with the idea of changing the aircraft sounds so they sounds less toy-like?

You know you should let your crew shoot some of them down for once. :D

"Hand sheepishly raises..." Me too, I have been here for a long time but only 'joined' a few weeks back and am hopelessly addicted, I trawl the mods forum at least 3 to 4 times a day to see what goodies have been released to make an OK game bl##dy awesome and I thank you modders from the bottom of my barnacle ridden bottom!

In all seriousness, if it were not for Ducimus, Leovampire, CaptainCox to name but a very few, I would have to talk to my wife and kids a great deal more than I do now......thank you......THANK YOU!! :arrgh!:
