at 1.3 install- no version installed ???

:damn: I have installed a v 1.0 (hungarian ?) SHIV bought on ebay. I did not know it was a foreign ver. installed w/ english lang. enabled.
I have been trying to install the 1.3 patch, but when I try to 'run' the install I get the message ' no version of silent hunters 4: wolves of the pacific installed' or something like that. what is this ??
I have tryed to run it directly at the install and/or save in the SHIV dir. and run it from there. neither of which works. why can it not detect the game as installed when it is installed or saved to the game directory ?

Do you have ANY! mods installed prior to the patch?
If so, unplug them and try again. Or simply do a clean install.

PS. This should maybe be moved to the "general forum" as more ppl look there.

No mods yet. Patch first then mod.

Not quite the same message. whent through that one too. message states NO version installed. something like game must be installed to be able to update.

new to this stuff. but since this forum is about a mod/update thought this be better. dont know how to 'move' it.

Just a thought, have you tried to hunt down a Hungarian version of the 1.3 patch ??
If that doesn't work, I'd point you toward Ubi's tech support.

Can't remember but isn't there a language selection choice before the patch can be installed?

I can choice one of 4(four) language(German version):german,english,french and spanish.
I think English is a default language for all versions.

:damn: I got a reminder from ebay that I needed to leave feedback for these items (thought I did). while there I found a FB from someone else who bought this misrepresented POS. It said to beware as this version (1.0.0.1 Russian I think) will NOT take ANY updates or mods... this was posted after I bought mine .. NATURALLY. was the first time I ever left any FB that was not a positive. this might be a help if there is anyone else that has this problem.

P.S. I am now awaiting confirmation from Ubisoft
