Petition to UBI for the SDK

I second that. However, I think it would be even more desirable to demand "final" 1.5 patch for SH3 from them. I think it's a real shame UBI haven't fixed all these well known bugs (e.g. those listed in GWX manual). SH3 is a great game, has a great fanbase so it really strikes me that 1.4b patch is everything that UBI had to say to date. I understand they are focused on SH4 now, however SH3 is still around, you can still buy it and they just *owe* us maintenance; I don't expect new content nor features, just bugfixes. These are just my 2 cents.

I've never heard of a company releasing an sdk for a product that still has sequels. Allegiance is one example of one I can think, but again the franchise was dead.

Give it up UBI. To hold back the SHIII SDK any longer is a selfish act of mistaken profitablility. And if you guys actually read these posts directed towards you--- please answer as to why you continue to keep it under wraps? You guys have created one of the finest U-Boat sims ever, understandably---- within the finite limits of a corporate-bottom line--- and so why not let this become public property for ALL to creativley enhance your incredibly ground-breaking endeavour? What better kudos could you guys possibly claim as your own personal 'claim-to-fame', than we made it live and now it has a life of it's own? Corporate ownership/rights be damned!

This game will continue to stand the test of time and IMHO, it's time to release the SDK and let others who have time-unlimted imaginations make the Silent Hunter III world a better place to dwell... and I digress.
