Changing "Please Wait" message.

Playing around with the file menu.txt, I've just found out that you can edit the message before starting of a mission of "Please Wait" to anything you want by changing line 5850 of data\menu\menu.txt to whatever you want, which I think it makes it perfect for a personal motto (mine is: E Pluribus Unum... BTW):cool: .

I also looked thru the same file and in line 261 omitted the word "the."
I'm hoping that is the cause of the bad grammar "You are to report to the base at the Pearl Harbor" or something like that when you start a new career.

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this, but is it normal to wait for 125seconds when loading a saved game? (The 125s is just the "please wait" part, and follows the red-line-loading phase)

No, that's not normal. It may well depend on your system, I see it for a few seconds at most.

I forgot to add that it only started happening after I loaded patch 1.3.

Try a complete new install. Remove everything clean, then reinstall. From 1.0 patch to 1.3 and try again. This did help me a couple of times after scr@wing my setup.:oops:
