Can someone please edit the hud.dds for me so that CaptainCox's Search Pattern Mod
works with OakGroove's Submarine Instruments?
thx

simply open both files side by side and add what you need from one file into the other.
it should not be hard to merge them.

It's not as simple as just editing the graphics. I found out the hard way that you have to make sure and include the graphics that go on the button icons in the alpha selection of the .dds file.
I'll put one together for you and post it shortly (unless someone else beats me to it :lol: )

The combined graphic is available at http://files.filefront.com/Hud2rar/;8103837;;/fileinfo.html
I TAKE NO CREDIT WHATSOEVER FOR THE GRAPHICS CONTAINED IN THIS FILE. All I did was to combine the instruments portion of Oak Grooves HUD.dds file with the button icon portion of Captain Cox's HUD.dds so that both mods could be used together.
Let me know if you have any problems with it and enjoy!
Edit: the link above has been changed due to the original file being incorrect.

thank you very much!
but
1. the symbol for "Distance to Course End" button is missing.
2. you can't see trough the stations buttons anymore
perhaps you can fix it.
thx

You're quite welcome, sir!
I don't know what the problem is with the "range to end of course" button icon , but it's there on the graphic. Please go into your blah,blah,blah....\Data\Menu\cfg folder and open the OrdersBar.cfg file with notepad or your favorite text editor. Then search for the entry for the Report_range_to_course_end button. Then make sure that the IconRowColumn value is 2,10.
It should end up looking like this:
Button10Command=Report_range_to_course_end
Button10IconRowColumn=2,10
Button10Tooltip=5619
If that doesn't solve the problem, we'll dig a little deeper.
Just saw your edit about the station buttons not showing through. Let me go back and look at it again.

I don't understand what the difference was unless I have different versions of the mods. I've got one that I am using currently in my own combined mod that has the icon (plus a bunch of new ones for buttons that I've added) and a slightly different color scheme for the buttons (bright green for on, dim yellow for available, bright yellow for available and mouse over and not lit for not available). It does not have the see-through tabs for the stations though.
It is available at http://files.filefront.com/Hud1rar/;8103662;;/fileinfo.html
If you want to try that one, go ahead. I'll also make one with the see through tabs and post it in just a little bit.
if someone makes a jsgme compatible for this issue ... please say something

Ok, this one I just tested and it has the transparent tabs for the HUD stations and works with the search pattern mod. It is available at http://files.filefront.com/Hud2rar/;8103837;;/fileinfo.html
@Jmack I know it's not exactly what you are asking for, but I am planning on doing (as long as I can get the proper permissions) an extension of Captain Cox's Search Pattern mod that will contain Oak Grooves Instruments, Captain Cox's search patterns ,Small Nav Tools, smaller chrono, pull down Pacific map,parts of CC's map table mod, several command buttons that I have added, an 11th HUD station tab that I also added, an imperial nomograph (cdrake66's, I believe , I may make that optional along with the option for metric), and Kapt.Klaus' periscope mod. I hope to have it out soon.
