Hi!
Could anybody mod the recognition manual position, so that it does not overlay the TDC in 1280 x 1024 resolution?
As it is now, it lays over the button where you pull the TDC out and where you switch between torpedo settings and position keeper.
I would like to have it right above the bottom menu buttons. Should not be a big problem for you great modders?

You can probably try it on your own. Its pretty easy.
Open the
menu_1024_768
found in
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Menu Using "NOTEPAD"
Go to "EDIT" in "NOTEPAD" and hit "SEARCH" for
[G25 I2](this is the main function for the RM)
You will have to work with this value
Zone= 0 356 812 276 0 1 0x25000000 0 -0.536458 0x25010000 0 0 0 0
Smaller value is up, Bigger is down, but be careful and try with small changes, like 358,360 and 362 etc, save it. Load the game and go in and check etc.
BUT BACK UP THE menu_1024_768 BEFORE YOU START!

CaptainCox, did you notice this:

Is the same INI file used for all reasolutions?

Yea i believe so...I know there was a fix for "Widescreen" in 1.3, but what that was I am not 100% sure. The position of the RM should be controlled from that line I posted above. I guess the only way to find out is to try hey ;)

Thx for help, but no success for me. I tried to alter the described value, but the recognition manual did not move 1 pixel. :hmm:
Other ideas? It really annoys me, because the manual takes away much space of the periscope view too as it is now.

My bad its this one :p
Zone= 0 356 812 276 0 1 0x25000000 0 -0.536458 0x25010000 0 0 0 0
Be super careful here as it might move totally out of view

I set it to -0.7 here

Maybe a good setting for you would be -0.6 or -0.62 etc, try.
