Australian Ranks and Uniforms

Is it Possible to mod the game so that the crew wear Aussie uniforms and have Aussie ranks. i know the game is about americans but i think it would be call to see aussies in the game

Lol, also would it be possible to change the ship title from USS ..... to HMAS

The ship title and the crew ranks should be easy to mod by modifying

A)files in Data\Roster\American\Submarine - for the possible submarine names

(alternatively you can just modify the name of your current boat)

B) Data\UPCData\UPCLocalization for the crew ranks names - modify only the right column

could you use the current logos and the gray overalls? it would be cool

the overalls are all grey and feature the sailors name above the left pocket and the word NAVy on the right pocket. it would be better if they wore overalls all of the time

The Uniforms and rank badges have changed since ww2 i think it would be cooler if the current uniforms were used and the current rank badges.

i suppose the ww2 one would be good but i love the current ones and they have never been in a game before. If you look n the links i posted you can get some examples. the ranks are practically the same. i have just changed the rank titles and will test it now. there are some pics of uniforms here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Australian_Navy
i have successfully moded the nems of the ranks to match the aussie ones but i had to make up one rank so i made up senior leading seaman just before petty officer

If you want to do a mod using the modern stuff, its a pretty big project as you have to get rid of the WWII caps and stuff, and that needs some coding or at least script changes in the CrewMembers3D.upc + all the textures (there are some 15+ textures for uniforms) has to be reworked pretty extensivly. So in other words, not something you do in 20 min.

You mean the Rank Insigna in the Crew managment screen? and if so you have all the insignia with pics and what they should replace.

Well I need some pictures and what needs to be replaced with what 1st. To put the ranks on the actual uniforms is again a bit of work as it needs to be positioned and checked, tweaked and checked etc. To do it for the "Crew management screen" is not that much work, but I need to know what you want (picture) and where it goes. You can see my previous picture for reference, and tell me for e.g. this rank (pic) in the 1st slot from the left, this pic 2nd slot and so on.

I have changed all the rank names and am working on the emblems at the moment. Just another quick question does sh4 make use of dual cores?
