Crush Depth needle setting

Ok, fiddling with the 1.3 beta, how can I get the red crush depth needle to move from 313 ft (approx) to 435 ft (approx) on the instrument for the Gato Class.

Ok, fiddling with the 1.3 beta, how can I get the red crush depth needle to move from 313 ft (approx) to 435 ft (approx) on the instrument for the Gato Class.

Into the sub .cfg file.

The red needles position was controled there by periscope depth and max depth values...

In example... for my Gato class.

PeriscopeDepth=18.3;meters
SnorkelDepth=15;meters
CrashDepth=40;meters
MaxDepth=125;meters
SurfaceDepth=4.5;meters
TorpLaunchMaxDepth=30;meters
StormConditions=7,0.1;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]

MaxDepth=125.... do not means it is the crush depth.

I have my crush depth into 138 meters for this Gato Class, and it must to be adjusted into the sub .zon file.

MaxDepth=125.... is only the red needle position, i put it few meters aboive the present crush depth adjusted into my game installation.

Red needle position may be ... or... may be not... conicident with your adjusted crush depth.

If you want to chage your present crush depth, you must to edit your gato .zon file !

For the value you want.... 435ft, you must adjust 132 or 133 meters.

For the red needle only... you must to adjust there (sub .cfg file) :

MaxDepth=133

But i reccomend you to put the red needle few meters above the crush depth, to be ware, in example....

MaxDepth=120

So you will have 13 meters of margin when reach the red needle position prior to be under the adjusted crush depth.

But this will not change your crush depth, as i wrote above, you must to edit too... your gato .zon file. Use TimeTraveller MiniTwaker program for it.

If you move your red needle up to 435 ft.... you will have the red needle there, but your crush depth will still being at 313 ft.

If you do that, you will have a game crush depth at 133 meters, and the red needle at 120 meters, few meters abovo to be ware about it.

Conlusion :

Red needle position...... Sub .cfg file. (Edit with text processor)

Crush depth ......... Sub .zon file. (Edit with MiniTweaker or Hexeditor)
