looking for a specific skin and a question

Does anyone know this skin and where to get it ? I used the search function, read the sticky posts and followed some links there but nothing.
I also cannot search the uboat-realsim forum as they won't let me activate my account there. Something doesn't work as it should there...

Another question would be why my uboat textures (preferrably exterior) look a little blurry. Is this a matter of the skin, should I turn on anti aliasing or something ?

Using an ATI 9800 Radeon, playing on 1024x768 without any AA yet.

Looks a bit icy too on the screenshot. I will play around with some AA settings (which will proberably eat my FPS rate alive) and see if I get some clearer and sharper textures.

It's not AA you want to play around with, but Anisotropic Filtering (AF). The higher you set it, the less blurry textures will get with distance :up:

They are blurry right in front of my nose too :/ Would have thought of the filtering too.

I just tested Fubar's U-552 skin. It looks really nice but the textures look still blured. I checked my graphics cards settings and the ansitropic filtering there was set to 8x, increased it to 16x now and there was a little knob which was turned to performance instead of quality. Changed that too.

One thing of which I'm not sure yet is my set of drivers for the graphics card. Some time ago I installed the omega drivers for the ati radeon cards instead of the original ones from ati.
(But they are based on ATI's catalyst drivers though.)

Problem solved.
It was a matter of the skin I was using. That was the default GWX VIIC skin and I also tried one of fubar's Low res Skins but that showed the same blur for example at the ground plates. But with his high res all the sudden skin it looks really awesome. Clear and sharp textures no matter how close you get to the sub.

Now I have a new problem: I cannot decide which skin to use but that must be a common problem among the people who use fubar's uboat skins :D

It seems to be that his uploads are mostly low res skins though. Aren't there any high res versions ? In his skin thread all those screenshots looked more like high res especially the IX* ones.
