Is it a High Resolution Mod by any chance?? If it is then check if the high res is selected in the graphics option of the game.
Which mod in particular? Was it one that added new ships to the game? Knowing what mod will help people help you. :yep:

it is the kaga fleet carrier mod

okay here it is http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=111329
I think i see the problem.
JMJOHNSON36 said add "CVKaga=Kaga Fleet Carrier" to the names list.
You can find the names list in DATA\ROSTER\names.cfg.
Just open this file with any wordprocessor and about in the middle of the file you'll see a paragraph called "SEA". Put the line in there and you should be good to go.

ok so let me get this right, i replace everything that says CVkaga with CVKaga=Kaga Fleet Carrier ?
leovampire
07-05-07, 05:22 PM
then click on the Roster file then open the name.cfg with word pad
then go to the line that says Sea and you will see the names of all the ships in the game there and that is where you will add with all the other ship names:
CVKaga=Kaga Fleet Carrier

is to find out what mod you are trying to make work that is giving you a problem.
Any mod that says it is JSGME ready you should be able to copy and paste the mod to your Mod's folder for JSGME then you start GME and click on the unused mods to the left you want to activate and then hit the button on the bottom and it will make a back up of the original files as it installs the mod so that if you don't like the mod and deactivate it from the list on the right it puts the game back to what it was before that mod was used.

What other mods are you running, besides the one you pasted above. I thought that Illustrated JSGME Guide would do the trick:hmm:
Also, where did you install JSGME, it should go in you SH4 main folder ubisoft\silenthunter\here
Run it once to create the mods folder, now mods that go there need a corrent file path to work, or JSGME compatible if you may. Example: SlowSmoke(name of mod)\data\library\particles, this is a correct JSGME compatible mod.
After you drag mods into that folder you created, by running JSGME once, then you go back to JSGME, run the program, and activate the mods, while in port.
Hope this helps a bit more, be patient, you will get this :yep:

Preferably is you are looking at using JSGME, look for mods that are compatible with it.
Most are here at subsim, sometimes you get some that are not.
If not, then it is possible to make it compatible yourself, but you need to now where that file needs to go in order to create the proper folder path to get it there, otherwise it will not work.
Where is JScones when you need him :yep:
Another example: Torpedo 25% more Pwerful Mod ( CaptainKobuk )
Torpedo 25% ( Folder )\Data(Folder)\Library(Folder)\torpedoes_us.zon(fi le)
In the above order. So when you click on the first one, Torpedo 25%, you are into Data, click on it, you are into Libray, click on it, you are into the file you want to mod with JSGME.
If you have some mods, open them up, you will see the type of structure they have depending upon what they are changing.
*Here is a thread from JScones on the latest JSGME

something to watch for is many mods say JSGME ready but they include a read me file to explain and tell you about the mod (as they should always do this). sometimes they put it all in a folder that has the same name as the mod itself, so you get a situation where you only want to use the inside folder with the path like you described above. most times when a mod fails to work you just have the wrong path.
example of wrong file: SlowSmoke\SlowSmoke\data\library\particles
example of the right file: SlowSmoke\data\library\particles

The game but make sure you fallow the instructions that come with the program. Have it take a picture of the original game files before you add any Mod's at all with the task options.
