hi captains
i have 3 problems waiting for solution
1/ is there a mod making planes more vulnerable or increasing the a/a gun effectivines i use gwx 1.03
2/last night tried to load the ext torps from my ixd2 and some of them wont loaded
and the tubes turned grey. the same i had without gwx and only with ixd2
3/also last night i remained at the bottom for a long time because at surface brits had a party!! when they went away i tried to surfase and took a look at o2 gauge
and was ok but a lot of my sailors died and dont know the reason.

regarding # 1 well sort of but I dont recall an individual mod for the
aa gun.
(check the thread link in my Siggy though it may have something
for you)
[edit] of course the better trained your Gunnery officer and Gun Crews are
the more accurate they will be. assuming you dont mean gun modifications.
Regarding #2 were you surfaced I dont believe so.
in order to load extra torpedos you must remain on the
surface for the operation how long it takes will depend
on crew efficiency. fore storage needs the fwd torpedo
room manned aft storage needs the aft torpedo room
manned in order to execute the Loading.
regarding #3 Not sure. Bernard was cooking maybe.

1) In real life, subs had almost no chance agaist air attack. Your only hope for survival is to carsh dive and evade as best you can.
If you wish to make an uber-flackgun, you have to use the minitweaker.

3) Did your sub have any damage during the attack?

of course there were crew to stern and aft torpedo rooms. maby i wasnt so clear.
also i wrote that the ext torpedo tube turned grey and i couldnt see or catch the torp to move it inside.
about ded crew. yes i had some damage but it fixed before tried to surface.

A good hard hit I think can take out some crew inside the can.
if you were still at silent running nothing would happen with
the torp either.
were the crew alive before you left the bottom or after you got
to the surface. in some cases a damaged conning tower will kill
your crew after you surface when they try to man their stations
but I dont think thats what your describing.

I agree with Mush Martin, it is most likely that nasty tower bug when you surface and most of your crew dies and the rest is just stuck to their posts and canot be moved. No solution to that besides often saves ;-)
And the planes, well they are hard in GWX arent they? hehe I solved that problem by lowering their hitpoints using the mini tweaker. program is easy to use and solves the problem of planes being too damn hard if you dont like it. The best part is that you can decide how much weaker you want to make them. You cna just make them a bit weaker or set their hp to 10% of original value which means that pretty much one hit will take them out befre they even get a chance to get close enough to shoot (in most cases at least)
As far for the torpedoes it is definitely silent running or not enough crew in the compartment to start loading (need at least 50% of the bar full)

for point 1, i don't know about a "mod" for that, but if you are up to it, you can modify some entries at the end of the zones.cfg file, where the hitpoints of airplanes and their parts are found.
for point 2, to transfer the external torps you must: be on the surface, make sure you are not running silent, have enough crew in the torps compartment and drag the torp with your mouse from the external reserve to an internal or extra empty slot, not to the tube. Makes me think the fact that the tubes were grey. Either it meant that they were empty or they were destroyed.
For point 3, it happens when your conning tower sustained damage and you put crew on the tower.
I hope it helps, but it's pretty much what my other fellow Kaleuns already told you. :up:

about torps
i was surfaced-without silent running-enough crew on both sections. at the front torpedo room the procedure was ok but on the back( sorry but i always confused with bow and stern) tried to catch and move the torp but as i wrote the tube turned grey and the torp dissapeard. the same happend also at the stock game and only with ixd2 sub. i understand its strange !!!! but i wasnt at bermuda triangle

this above is true and for realism gwx has made them less usefull as well as the deck gun.
what you will need to do is mod gwx to change this
if you dont mind losing some of the subs added by gwx then swap out the stock 1.4b submarine folder for the gwx submarine folder. this will restore the subs to stock levels of play but still have all the gwx to go with it. this folder swap also restores stock sub bouancy levels as well.
you can still open the gwx submarine folder and add those subs to the stock submarine folder if you want to keep them but remember these subs will have the gwx settings and respond the same way as your subs do now, so remember this.
