Delete everything that isn't a .dds Remove subs, ships... scenerios... ect...

Rename Blightz Gui layout and pop it in with some kind of Generic Mod Installer.

Wa-LA. Better textures for just about everything!

What does this actually do? What textures get replaced?

You might get more downloads if you gave us more details.

That "Delete everything that isn't a dds" kinda scares me too. :P

is basically a bunch of tweaked textures. The exe file is actually a zip file, but BlightLightning didnīt "trim the fat" so there are other sim and cfg files you have to delete before applying this pack as a mod.

i don't trust generalized comments like delete everything not dds

after it is proven to be an improvement and "TRIM THE FAT" then i will try it.

thank you for your hard work BlightLightning

Lets say is a "hurried" mod. What he did is to zip the data folder with the textures and other files he didnīt deleted (like sims and cfgs). But I suspect that some of those textures are not his doing.... no, Im not pointing my finger, but there is a mod etiquette that must be followed.

Oh I can guarantee most, if not all, the textures are not his doing. He's doing the same thing with radio mods. Taking other people's mods, tweaking or adding a bit, then releasing as his own with no credit to the original modders.

Again, that's all good and fine.
But as you know its custom to list ALL MOD MAKERS in at least a readme and in the thread where the mod was posted. Takes max 3 min to do. Why is that such a big problem for you?

There are tons of stuff from A LOT of ppl including ME! in this one. I am not saying don't upload it but PLEASE! include the guys that did the work in the Gdarn Thread and Readme!

I could just pack my JSGME folder, upload that and call it a "SUPER MOD" couse it would be that!...but...well go figgure.

I PM'd you concerning the work of others. The modding community asks that you state the original creator of the work you have tweeked. There is no issue with you tweeking these files, just give credit were credit is due. Please do not insist there are no readme files from the originals you tweeked. They all make read me files with their names and what the mod does and does not do.

Give credit Blight, there's nothing right about posting other people's hard work with your name on it, and not mentioning them. It's not a big job to say what mods you're including, and who made them, and what (if any) changes you've made.

It's just common courtesy, I'm sure you'd want others to show you the same respect if they re-distributed or re-packaged your hard work...

So, I get from that you are deliberatly trying to mess up other peoples install? What "Bugs" are you trying to pass to other people? Because you installed too many versions of the same mod(s) over and over and can't figure out why it won't work?

I don't usually stick my nose in, but I've been watching this for a few days now, and you are really a trouble maker, to say the least. You need to quit trying to plagerize others excellent and extremely difficult work and not acknowledge these guys that worked so selflessly to make this sim playable and enjoyable.

I know I will NEVER download anything that has been uploaded by you. And changing your handle won't help. You have a distinct lack of a grasp on grammar and punctuation that will give you away.

Maybe you should go back to cheating online with your M$ game console, and leave the serious modders and players alone?:yep:

I hereby would like to add my vote to those that want this person banned.

Heh..Bilge Rat..I Love It.

Please give credit to others by using their specific names. If you do not remember the names, please start over.

We appreciate the hard work you are doing to re-release other people's mods while changing a few things, but please understand this community has an honor system.

We would appreciate it if you could actually reply about this and not ignore this request. I am making this request to you, and I am not even a modder. I enjoy this site, and think the agreed upon system of citing others work is a good one.

This Forum has been very tolerant, BLIGHTLIGHTNING, as have the Moderators. Please don't read that tolerance as weakness.

There is an etiquette at subsim. Adhere to it and you're very welcome here. Continue to disrespect the modders the way you have been, and you and we may need to consider whether you'd be better off at another Forum.

BZ - there is a simple fix. Create a readme stating that you DL'd, combined and modified a large number of different mods and just either name the mods - or make it clear that you didnt keep a list of em all but that its not all your work, but a conglomeration of others work and your efforts. Its not hard.

On every mod I have made - I referenced the fact that other modders have contributed to my ability to make my mods. I don't name everyone (although I am not using their stuff in my mod) - but all it takes is a nod to those who helped you do what you have done.

On the other hand - if you dont - then dont be suprised when someone dl's "your" mod and changes a minor thing or 2, writes a readme crediting a number of modders - and re-releases it. Of course - you wont have a reason to get mad because you didnt get noted for your efforts... now will ya? Same principal. Give it some thought.
