LOL - Just adjust the brightness/contrast of the original skin. No need to add an overlay colour. That way you aren't covering the holes, the only thing you might need to do is put the holes back to black.:up:

What are your intensions.. why do you want to light the skin up ?
If possible.. when you try to make a new skin.. make it hi-res.

I perfer to make this skin to be use in the night like what FIREWALL said, This skin is perfect for people that mostly attack their prey during nighttime.

if your going for the battleship grey look then just redo the upper hull areas only then come back with a transparent black over the entire skin to give it a dirty appearance. anything below surfaced waterline is better off left in the stock black color as it should be.
