Hi all, first off I have given up on 16k version (for now) as there are just too many problems.
For those who use the 8k version I have reverse engineered Sergbuto's moon reflection fix from SHIII scene with Hex editor and applied/tested to SHIV version & works well. Many thanks to Sergbuto for the fix, I pm'd him over a week ago with no response, so I hope there is no problems here!:yep:
I have also done some minor tweaking & I think this version should suit all:

Instructions supplied.
Cheers,
Reece.

Sorry, Reece. I saw this post and realized that I did not check my PMs for quite some time.

Certainly, there is no problem on my side. And I hope you know now how to do what you were asking about.

Hi Serg & thanks again, funny that the SHIV version had the Sky texture problem & no moon reflection, although I have the game I'm waiting for 1.3 patch & I also need a better video card, I do wonder if SHIV has these problems in the game, or if they overcame it some other way, certainly things they did improve on is object & sky reflections, sky colors & wave texture.
Cheers.

Thanks Reece; nice work
I too need a new video card and more memory to play SHIV. I am waiting for the patch; if the game still is flawed in a major way, I'll just forget the whole thing.
UBIsoft(heads) must be run by the three Stooges. They bring out a game that must be run by a state of the art computer, which only a small percentage of the public have, and then wonder why it doesn't sell!:damn::damn::damn:
The need to hire an English major :know: who has no knowledge of computers to write the manual so everybody can understand it, and a marketing major :know: who also has no knowledge of computers to sell it. They then should hire a bunch of high school dropouts  to test it. Perhaps then they will have a successful game.

How could you go wrong?:dead: I think the went back to SHIII ver 1.0 and worked on that version, go figure hey!!

Hi Reece!
I downloaded ur mod and it looks very good, thanks!
But i have a problem in stormy weather. Since i use ur mod i got incredible big waves and its really hard to play then. I installed this mod with JSGME and deleted it now, but it seems that this didn't solve my problem. Is this because of the scene.dat file? Is there no backup when i use JSGME? How can i fix it back?

you can use the mini tweaker program and modify the wave's hight... just a thought ;)

Hi patterchon, I have played in stormy weather & is just the same as GWX, if you are running SH3 Commander some of the environment settings may not work properly with SHIV scene.dat file, I use SH3 Commander but don't touch these settings, this is what storm is like using this file::yep:

I use SH3 commander but I did not change anything there. Water clarity and wave height remained unselected and unchanged, so something in ur scene.dat changed the waves i think. It is really horrible, when the depthmeter bounces from 0-10 meters depth most of the time, nearly impossible to use the attack periscope.
I just want to have back the GWX settings, but it seems, that there was made no backup with ur mod and JSGME.
Here r two pics. Look like tsunamies to me

Wow ... that's amazing ... if nothing else it's uber!!:rotfl:
I don't know what's wrong, no one else has had that effect, what happens when you disable the mod, could you go back into the game at this point & check?:-?
There is obviously something wrong, could you check and report the date tag of the scene.dat file please.!:yep:

A lot of the settings have been tweaked with SHIV version of MiniTweaker, the wave height is set to stock SHIII or GWX, can't remember now. maybe I haven't actually reached a "Wave State 4" yet and you have! I know when I fixed the moon reflection I went back to an earlier version, maybe I uploaded the wrong one!

Could you try this version for me, I think I goofed:
http://www6.rapidupload.com/d.php?file=dl&filepath=38083 (http://www6.rapidupload.com/d.php?file=dl&filepath=38083)
Thanks.
PS. Don't forget to always delete the created "Copy of Scene.dat" created by MiniTweaker as a backup otherwise SHIII will use this over the actual "Scene.dat" file.

Thing is, that i already disabled ur mod in the pictures. But waves are still horrible and not like in normal GWX.
Other mods i installed last day are the lighthouse mod and the smoke mod. I don't think they changed the waves!?
The date tag of the scene.dat of ur mod v2 in my MODS folder is: 15th June, 2.29pm

Somehow I think that JSGME does not backup the scene.dat so u cannot disable the mod.

I'll check out ur v2.1 version now.

Btw: i didn't mess around with mini-tweaker, don't even have that tool.

Thanks so far, Reece

v2.1 fixed the waves i think. first impression was normal GWX wave height.
Good work, thanks Reece!
