how hard would it be to redo the stars at night? there are way way too few... If youve ever been decently remote from civilization and light pollution you know how the milky way actually looks like an almost dense cloud of stars accross the sky etc... I think by adding this little detail it would add an increadible sense of atmoshpere to the game!

find any sky graffics mod, see what files are used then open them by using a dds file converter, this will get you in the right place to find what you are looking for then figure the rest out by trial and error.

Has anyone done anything with the night sky? The stars are way too bright. It would be nice to have more and to be able to see the milky way, etc, but the current version would look much nicer if the existing ones were toned down some.

I would also like to see a more stars + milky way mod - be nice if the major planets could be added. Must a have been a GORGEOUS sky out there in the middle of the Pacific.

The images I posted are from TheSky6 Professional. I actually used the city where Henderson Field is now as the location, with the date of August 1st, 2007.

Planets might be a bit of a headache as they change position night after night. Even the Milky Way changes orientation as the year goes by, but that wouldn't be as noticeable.

I would at least like to see SOUTHERN constellations when I'm patrolling south of the equater. I'm not much of an astronomer, but I'm sure you can't see the Big Dipper from Freemantle. I'd really like to see the Southern Cross.

itīs a bit of topic but could be nice like this :88)

in sh4 could be very difficult because nobody knows where are the stars stored, or what file

orbiter space simulator using 50.000 stars , the milk way is visible, not the faint nebulosity but yes the stars concentration

in the game looks better, also it have a planetarium mode

another with 80.000 starshttp://img352.imageshack.us/img352/9393/deeporbitcw0.jpg
