:p Hi all
Is it possable to make dive/surface times a bit faster in the game seems kinda still too slow.
Please advise.

Yes it is (by using SH3 minitweaker (search (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/search.php)) and editing the proper submarine class).

(or use my mod KillerSub (see my signature) which does these things among others:
-- lowers dive time from full surfaced to
periscop height from 1m20s to 35s
-- lowers dive time from periscop height
to 45m from 1min to 23s
-- lowers (emergency) surface time from
50s to 43s
)

If you want to mod the dive times - use the SH3 Minitweaker and the sub files associated with it. To save you (and others) time - I have reuploaded the files here - http://rapidshare.com/files/36611582/SH4_ModTools_Utilities.zip

These are not my files originally - they are made available with thanks to their respective creators.

As for the actual changing of stats - to increase diving time - just increase the MBT flooding speed on the vessel your dealing with.

BTW your crew will get better and dive times faster with more practice, if you didn't know.

Is that really true (about practice improving performance)? How is it reflected in the game? How can you tell?

I've never had any problem diving in under 45 seconds.

Your command room team have the better the dive times. I adjusted the qualifications so the command room crew get a boost in all things with each rank increase so when I start off with a low rank crew by the time they get higher in rank the green stat bar for the compartment is full. Plus the command room crew also effects how well the other compartments work as well.

Go to UPCData then UPCCrewData and adjust the Qualifications. For each compartment but you should be docked at a base before doing this and make it a JSGME file and then in stall it after you make your adjustments so you don't screw up your base game.
