How Can i convert Subs into dd or bb's or cv'S? in SH4

:roll: :roll: Ive Been wanting to ask this for a long time even is SH3 i was wondering can i convert subs in ships?
like iowa or even yamato? thx if u can help.

i heard it was done for sh3 at one time, something about the bismark as a submarine.

search for it there and you may find help. if i remember correctly the person who did it isn't around anymore but you may be able to figure out how it was done.

we looked at it when it came out but I never played it, but a few
weeks ago the Hired gun got a copy of mine from me and
when he booted it up it was just BB guns on a sub hull.

its theoretically possible but you would need to make severe changes
to an existing 3d sub model. and I certainly havent got those skills.

Depends on what your trying to do. If you want it to BE a DD, BB or CA - that isnt hard. Just get a tweakfile for both the ship you want turn your sub into - and one for the sub class itself. Look at the stats for the ship you want to turn into - and mod your sub to match. Change the MBT flooding speed to 0 - so you cant dive - and your sub is now a surface ship.

At that point - you simply need to mod the gun on your sub to match the specs of the one on the ship you are going to mimic. All of this can be done with the minitweaker if you have the right tweakfiles.

LOOKING like a BB or something is entirely different - I cant answer those - but maybe one of the folks who do skins can.

i think he meant to turn a BB into a submarine not the other way around. he wants it to still be sub.

but all that it would take would be to not change the MBT floating speed, isn't that correct?

Right - if you wanted the other changes but still the ability to dive - just leave the MBT flooding speed as is - and you'll be able to dive like normal. :D
