Ive just got a simple question about the sound effects.

Ive noticed that I dont hear the glass breaking sound anymore.
Actually ive only heard it once and that was on the stock sh4 before installing any of the patch's. Same goes for the leaks , I dont hear any sound fx just see the vis steam comming from places.

I was wondering if this is the same on everyones game or its just mine?

Is there a fix for this promlem?

any ideas?

That's interesting, never thought about that. I am using the SH4 Ultimate Sound Mod+Stealthy Sub combined so I never really noticed. But I guess the best way to check is to look in your
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Sound
A bit tedious go go through, but would be the best way to check if its in there at all. If one could pinpoint the file that is supposed to be played there one could tweak it I guess.

Well done captain cox , I can allways count on you for some input.
ive been watching the post meter and about 10 people have looked but nobody had left a reply.

Yes , I thought of that , looking thru the sound folder and tedious is the word.

The main thing thats brought the problem to my attention is when reloading patrols where youve previously recieved damage I see the glass breaking but no sound.
Its a real problem when diving deep , I dont get any audible warning , sometimes the interior lighting flickers but no sound fx. Then the next thing I know its a panel of red damage bars and its all over.
But I do seem to hear the creaking that does intensify with depth.
My main interest was if others have the same problem or if ive got something specific to my install.

Well I ll wait a while and see what others have to say , it might end up ill have to go thru the sound folder and listen to all the files.
Right up my alley anyway ,i work as a sound engineer. Proberly why I pick up on all the sound fx problems,

Checked the sound folder , only took a min and all the sounds are there and working. Think it must be the Triger for the sounds or the ingame audio mixing levels. Ill try messing with the sound ch options in the menu.
I spose the other thing could be my soround setup. Ive had wierd things happen before with the soround sound like watching tv on my pc and not getting the speach but getting music and fx.
Ill allso check to see if sh4 suports dolby digital or anything like that I could have the wrong settings on my card or mixer.
