Hi.

Have finally got the hardware needed to sail GWX full-out and and is in the process of learning this mod. I have so far only sailed NYGM (2.5) but got curious after finding out that the asian patrols from Penang only was possible with GWX installed. (WaW2, U-195 IXD2, Klt.z.S. H Sohler;) )

Now the major problem;

Is there a fix for the radar area of the snorkel-head in GWX? (There is a fix in NYGM taking care of this).:hmm:

The snorkel appear large as the sub itself even when running submerged thus making it quite useless!!!:damn:

Maybe this is discussed otherwhere but I have failed to find any thread on the matter.:-?

Cheers

Who told you that's the case in GWX?? There does seem to be a problem with the XXI and the snorkel, but there is a fix for the other boats.

Got it back at the WaW2 forums. It could be me just misinterpreting the message.

Better check out making a mock patrol perhaps...;)

I remember there being a radar fix for XXI long ago though.

If the "sensors-files" in GWX are equal to NYGM in respect of radar signature, then it's all hunky dory right?

Gentlemen, the snorchel cross section visible to radar problem was corrected and retained since the old original GW version 1.0. The radar cross section has been greatly reduced... but still allows for the possibility of enemy ASW assets to spot the snorchel by visual means or by radar.

Excellent news.:up:

Thanks.

By the way, this means that the installation of a "tarnmatte" over the snorkel head actually reduces the cross section even more!?;)

Thanks for a fantastic mod. I am stunned:D .
